Daffodils are usually planted in September. They spend several months developing roots before bursting forth with flowers between February and May. This piece reflects that, as the music begins from the planting of the daffodil to its dormancy during the winter months with a sparser musical texture before bursting forth with rapid arppeggiation to signal the blossoming of flowers.

I’v been a singer all my life but have no musical training to speak of. I started writing songs in 2004. Then had a ten year brake from 2009 when I studied a degree in traditional acupuncture and had my family. 

Technology has moved on in the last ten years and now I can record on my phone instead of relying  on borrowing friends time and recording equipment as I did before.

At this time I am working with the spoken word and converting some of my old songs in to poetry. I’m also writing new material.

Now I want to share my word/ sound art and spread the love. 🌈
