Rebellion welcomes Italian-born artist Cristian Viviano for his label debut with ‘Tu Destino’, a three-track EP showcasing his deep-rooted passion for analog and digital fusion within the studio. Following recent appearances at Hï Ibiza alongside label boss Damian Lazarus, Viviano delivers a trio of expressive cuts that speak to his eclectic style and rich musical background. Known for his versatile sound and powerful DJ sets, his previous releases have landed on respected imprints including Paradise, Hottrax, Get Physical, Maccabi House and his own Descending Order label. Here, he unveils three cuts that encompass his wide-reaching sound with an impressive first outing on the label.

“I poured a lot of passion into this EP. I'm a lover of analog gear, but I never underestimate the potential of digital tools; in fact, I often find blending both worlds incredibly inspiring. ‘Tu Destino’ is the banger of the three; it always gets a great reaction on the dancefloor. The vocal sits perfectly on a groove crafted with both analog machines and VSTs. ‘In This World’ is a fusion of emotions, layered over a deep, driving rhythm. The vocal and brass elements fill the space and your heart, creating a rich, immersive vibe. Last but not least, ‘Runaway’ is what I’d call the super cool one of the EP. Its groove was built using my beloved DSI Tempest drum machine, combining some old-school sounds with a vocal that creates a warm, suspenseful atmosphere. A self-taught DJ, musician, and producer from Palermo, Cristian’s path has seen him perform at renowned venues and festivals worldwide, including Fabric in London, Dream Beach Festival, Pacha Ibiza, and Mayan Warrior in Los Angeles. With his surprise fifth studio album ‘Magickal’ continuing to resonate across the global electronic landscape, Damian Lazarus now unveils the second half of the project’s ambitious remix series. Out 26th September via Crosstown Rebels, ‘Magickal Remixed (Part II)’ enlists the talents of Cinthie, Timo Maas, and Anthony Middleton, with each of the three celebrated artists bringing their unique perspective to the Crosstown head’s latest long-player. Arriving in both digital and vinyl formats, this three-track package builds on the energy of Part I, which featured takes from Harry Romero, Jonathan Kaspar, and Mëstiza, and THEMBA’s earlier remix of lead single Searchin’, continuing a journey that reimagines Magickal’s most defining moments through fresh, club-ready interpretations.
Opening the release, Berlin favourite Cinthie takes on ‘Y Don’t U’, injecting her signature analogue warmth and groove-driven touch into the album cut, reworking it into a silky, floor-focused workout that radiates her unmistakable house sound. Longstanding innovator Timo Maas steps up next with his remix of ‘Warrior Dance’, Lazarus’ amapiano-inspired collaboration with Ghanaian artist Jojo Abot. Stripping back and rebuilding the track into a hypnotic, low-slung affair, Maas balances subtle percussive detail with deep, pulsating basslines to create an intoxicating new dimension. Closing out the EP, Anthony Middleton, formerly one half of Audiofly, reshapes the soulful ‘So Low’ featuring Zoe Kypri into a textured and emotionally charged journey, weaving its vocal lines through expansive sound design and rolling grooves.

HARTMIX #30 - Late Night

Leah Marie (Late Night Music/ Kontrast) is a DJ and producer hailing from Melbourne, Australia, currently calling Berlin home. In the past few years, Leah has become a prominent figure in the deep, progressive & melodic house landscape. Her signature style focuses on all things groove within the deeper genres of underground house and techno. She weaves progressive and melodic tones with rolling basslines, deep pulsating grooves, often infused with tribal and organic elements in order to entrance the dancefloor with the journey she creates. 

Having captivated audiences at some of Melbourne and Berlin’s most renowned underground clubs, festivals and iconic venues; Leah’s talent has also taken her to international stages across Germany, Portugal, the Netherlands and the UK. A few of her highlights from recent times include playing at Sisyphos, Zurück den Wurzeln Festival (DE),  Kulturkosmos, Wilde Möhre Festival [DE], Funkloch Festival [DE], Esoteric Festival (AUS), The Steel Yard (UK) and Amsterdam Dance Event. She has also joined lineups for renowned record label showcases in Berlin with 3000 Grad, Deep Tales and YOMO Records. In 2025, Leah launched the Kontrast event series alongside co-founders Dilby and Dowden. 

She’s shared stages with esteemed artists - Guy J, Marsh, Jody Wisternoff, Simon Doty, Super Flu, Cristoph, Denney and Yotto, to name a few. Leah has released remixes and original tracks on labels Late Night Music, YOMO Records, Massive Harmony and Musique de Lune. Stay tuned for more upcoming releases.

Over 10 years we host our famous podcast series. Which started as an small idea of some Afterhour nerds developed over the years to something special for us ♥️

In the beginning, we focused on finding and supporting (un)known artists through blog posts, reposts and podcast contributions. Gradually, we expanded our sections to include live recordings and premieres. In-house releases and events were not long in coming.
