Hey friends, welcome to this month's episode of ZZGO radio!  I hope your end of summer, or winter depending on your hemisphere, has been going well.  I have a pretty busy schedule coming up, with my weekly Flow ATX residency each Wednesday, a techno set later this week with the Night Service crew, and next weekend I'm playing a set before a screening of one of my favorite movies, the Fifth Element.  We also did our first Flow afterhours event last weekend which was super fun, so thanks to everyone who came out and partied with us, we'll do another one soon, I promise!

For music this month I decided to go super deep and melodic which just seems to fit the summer vibe here in Austin, Texas.  I hope you enjoy the change of pace, but I'm sure to be back to my usual shenanigans in the next episode.  Until then, take care and I'll see you next month!

Originally from Sydney, Australia but now resident in Los Angeles, Dan has been patiently releasing a sequence of highly polished and well thought-out progressive house tracks since 2013, most recently on Mango Alley with his stunning Submood / Klunker EP. Emotive keys kick things off, priming a laid back 128bpm arpeggiated-bass and crisp percussion. Electronic layers suggest a journey through an urban landscape, the Kraftwerk-esque motif and subtle portamento counter-melody interplaying delightfully.

Parallels 003 with Monoverse

Juliane Wolf is back with her first new originals in quite some time. In recent months she was busy relocating from Germany to Malta, but now that she's all settled in it's time for new music by this talented producer.

"Adventure / Departure" marks her official Manual Music single debut, after having already released a song on the Manualism 10.0 compilation and of course having released music on Manual Music's sub labels MNL and Cinematique.

We kick things off with 'Adventure', a deep mystique song with clear middle Eastern influences, build on a deep oozing bassline that just keeps on sucking you in further and further.

'Departure' maintains the same deep vibe but it's arrangement is slightly more straight forward with it's shuffling shakers and effective four-to-the-floor bassline. A clever synth melody arp carries this track throughout. A pure dance floor pleaser this one!

On remix duties we welcome two Manual debutants on board. Two of our personal favorites so it was about time we'd ask them to contribute; Dan Sieg and Kieran J.

We fell in love with Dan Sieg's recent output on Mango Alley and he continues his winning streak here with this remix for 'Adventure' which finds the middle between progressive house, deep techno and tech house vibes. A proper deep crossover winner!

Kieran J has been on our radar for many years. His productions are always so intelligently crafted, deep and rich of detail, we knew he would create something special for us, and so he did! Moody, pumping, almost dubby but still so funky, this man knows his stuff!

We waited so long for this massive exhibition. Gonzalo Oleaga is @gullenmusic from Barcelona, Spain. He comes along with an astonishing beautiful solo exhibition at the Wohlklang Gallery. He's one of the upcoming artists you should have on your list!
Gonzalo played in some of the best Clubs in the World, like Garage442 and Razzmatazz.

Gullen has developed an increasingly distinct sound, leaning towards lazier rhythms and opened envelope synthesis. His productions capture a joy, haze and lethargy which feel akin to the atmosphere when walking the streets under a blazing June sun.

With his latest Faraday EP released this year on Gabriel Ananda's Soulful Techno, Gullen will be releasing lots of new music during the first half of 2019, including the three unreleased tracks in this mix. He's currently a DJ resident at Barcelona's finest Radio C/C and is also been working for years on his side-project @shitjapens with also a new Crispy EP coming out during the beginning of next year.

For Attican, music is a universal language which can communicate feelings and experiences that words simply can’t. Attican (formerly Diagenetic) is a progressive house and trance producer who broke into the electronic music scene in 2018 with “Winter” his three-track debut EP.

Attican has a penchant for driving basslines, compounded with melodic and atmospheric elements. These airy yet consistently deep tracks have led him to local supporting slots for the likes of Markus Schulz, Oliver Smith, Yotto and Tinlicker.
