2013-ban cégek és állami támogatások tudatos összehangolásával 5,6 milliárd dollárt fektettek be a koreai kulturális iparba, ezzel kezdetét vette a 2010-es éveket meghatározó jelenség, a koreai hullám, vagyis a hallyu. 

A hallyu Magyarországon is teret hódított magának, egy 2018-19-es felmérés szerint akkorra már 15 ezer k-pop rajongó volt az országban. De hogyan és miért lehetett ennyire sikeres Dél-Korea újonnan felfuttatott soft-power intézménye? Vajon divathullámról vagy egy hosszútávú jelenségről beszélhetünk? 

Mai adásunk két vendége Fodor Fanni és Zeng Zeni egy több mint 2000 fős követőtáborral rendelkező koreai dance cover, a Papillon alapítói és koordinátorai. Fanni az ELTÉn végzett kommunikáció és médiatudomány mesterszakon, jelenleg az ELTÉn tart kurzusokat a koreai popkultúráról, Zeni pedig másodéves hallgató szintén kommunikáció és médiatudomány alapszakon. Mai adásunkban őket kérdezzük a koreai hullámról, a k-popról és arról, hogy valójában mennyire nehéz egy-egy látványos és ikonikus banda tánckoreográfiája.
