We have been pumped to get this mix ahead of her debut 303 set on the 28th of December at Sounds like Sunday at The Emerald Peacock Rooftop.
Danni B's sound has been on our radar for years now, so we are thrilled to have her not only be playing for us but to have put together an exclusive mix for us, which once again proves why she is one of Australia's leading ladies when it comes to underground house and techno.
Danni B is on tour for a short while, before she heads back to her current hometown, Berlin, so make sure you don't miss her rocking the rooftop.

Danni B has been a regular fixture in the Australian club scene for over 10 years, with gigs at some of the country’s most well-known venues and events. Soon after hitting the club circuit in 2004, Danni conceived “Tickled Pink Events”, which have toured the likes of Dyed Soundorom and still remains one of Australia’s highly successful chain of parties.

Never one to be pigeonholed, Danni is a versatile performer; whether kicking it with some low-slung club grooves or driving festival dance floors with an upbeat percussive sound. Her influences include tINI, Inxec, Blond:ish and Nicolas Jaar, to name a few. Her trademark; an infectious presence behind the decks and an enthusiasm that rivals most. 

Danni got her first real taste of festival fever in 2010, when she was booked to play  Rainbow Serpent Festival in Australia. She quickly left a mark on the crowd and the promoters alike, and has been asked to come back every year since. It didn’t take long for other promoters to pick up her scent and Danni was booked for Solstice Festival in 2010 & 2011.

Stepping things up, Danni hit the international scene in 2011 with her first gigs in Berlin - at a local favourite “Golden Gate” – and “Yes Club” in Prague. It didn’t take long for Danni to realise that she belonged in Berlin; relocating in 2012 where she quickly gained a following and lined up several gigs at “Katerholzig”, “Prince Charles”, “Chalet” and recently adding a residency with the Crave crew at Ritter Butzke to her roster. 

From here, the only place left to go was up and in 2013 Danni reached her biggest achievement to date; playing the infamous Burning Man Festival as part of the Naturklang Zürich team and Celtic Chaos’ “The Castle”. Needless to say, her sets were very well received and an experience that has left Danni truly inspired and determined to take her musical journey that critical step further.

Joining forces with Berlin label Collage Audio, Danni is looking to conquer more of the international scene, starting with Europe and moving on to The US. As a side project to her touring schedule, Danni is looking to cement her unique sound with some of her very own productions.

So happy to be able to put this podcast out. Introducing the lovely Danni B, who happens to be having her birthday this week. Perfect timing! Danni B’s recent podcasts for world class labels: Get Physical and People Like Us have been on our most played lists. This little Australian powerhouse has really found her musical feet in her now home town of Berlin. We couldn’t be prouder of her. Always bringing an amazing energy to any room whether she’s behind the decks or on the dance-floor this legends passion for the music and life is inspiring and you can hear it in the music she plays. 

Danni now takes the reigns from Brohn for longest Let The People Dance podcast yet… giving us the full recording of her recent set @ Kater Blau, Berlin. A beautiful journey through sound and very tasty minimal tech sounds. We wish we were on that dancefloor. 

Before her move to Berlin Danni was a regular fixture in the Australian club scene for well over a decade, with gigs at some of the country’s most well-known venues and events. Soon after hitting the club circuit in 2004, Danni conceived “Tickled Pink Events”, which has toured international artists such as, Dyed Soundorom & Christian Burkhardt to Australia. 

This experience definitely raised her desire for the scene overseas. Danni hit the international scene in 2011 with her first gigs in Berlinat the underground club favorite“Golden Gate” and “Yes Club” in Prague. It didn’t take long for Danni to realise that she belonged in Berlin; relocating in 2012 where she quickly gained a following and lined up several gigs at Katerholzig, Sisyphos, Watergate and Ritter Butzke. She currently now holds a residency at Chalet. Since cementing herself in Berlin, she has played numerous gigs around Europe and is having success pushing her brand beyond Germany.

Joining forces with Berlin label Collage Audio, alongside Jacob Phono early in 2014, Danni now is looking to conquer more ofthe international scene, expanding beyond Europe and into the US.  Continuing to base herself in Berlin, working closely with her music partner in crime, Ben Rau (Fuse London).  Danni has also started her own party/ concepttitled “VIER”, which showcases female talent from different parts of the globe. 

For the remainder of 2016 you can find Danni in Europe until January, playing gigs in Berlin, Greece, Beirut & Others before we get her home to Australia for a couple of months between end of Jan and  start of March. Groovy rolling bass lines, minimal, acid and 90s house can all be heard in Cassette's sets and productions.

Not one to be pigeon holed, or limited by others’ perceptions, Cassette draws influence from many genres.

Early attendance at raves listening to Breaks, Garage, Drum n Bass and Chicago House, combined with her upbringing on Jazz & Soul have all helped shape her into the dynamic selector she is today.

Whether it be deep minimal tech or jacking old skool house there is a certain groove evident in all her musical choices that sets her sound apart from the masses. Cassette got soul!

Her infectious personality and creative sets continue to prove her reputation as a deserving local favourite.
She has strong support from renowned Sydney collectives S.A.S.H, Return to Rio, Blueprint, Subsonic and her own brand BODYWORK.

Internationally, her mixes and productions have been featured on radio stations, websites and blogs around the world resulting in club and festival gigs in Europe, USA, Africa, Mexico, Dubai and Asia.

Her music knowledge and creativity is not limited to the club scene, she has previously completed projects for VIVID Sydney and  been headhunted to work with high-end brands Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Harpers Bazaar, Nike and Adidas.

So what's on the horizon for cassette? She continues to grow her own brand and record label BODYWORK which she runs with her bff DJ Danni B. Bodywork is fast developing it's own loyal cult following, branching out into art fashion and records. With an EP and plenty of unreleased bombs under her belt I'd advise you to stay tuned cause Cassette is worth the hype...

Life is all about learning, evolving and always trying new things. Life, at least for Brixton.

The Düsseldorf local who became a household name the world over due to his eccentric and energetic Acid Techno live sets and for his revolutionary label “Holzplatten” has been bringing his unique sound and live performances to major festivals in Germany such as Mayday, Nature One, and Berlin´s infamous Love Parades since 1988 and has for years been a regular fixture in major clubs like Tresor (Berlin) , Distillery (Leipzig), Warehouse (Cologne) and Rex Club (Paris)

In 2012 Brixton became Loco Dice´s tour manager, and throughout his time globe trotting with the Desolat supremo witnessed a new movement and energy on the dance floor. At a transitional point in his musical and artistic evolution, watching Dice deliver slamming 4/4 beats on packed clubs and festivals all around the world was just the inspiration that Brixton needed to become fully converted. Immediately identifying with the energy and clean, tight driving sound of tech house, he went back into the studio after many years away, a man with a purpose, and in the ensuing transformative process, Brixton 2.0 was born.

Only a year since going back into the studio, Brixton re-emerged championing a modern tech-house sound, with an old school acid-techno inspired twist. The immediate success of his first productions is evident: a guest mix for "Desolat im Salon" was swiftly followed by a Remix of the classic "I Love to Love" by Tina Charles - his way of giving a nod to the heroes of the past whilst always looking towards the future. Furthermore, other new productions were featured on Loco Dice´s Defected Presents In the House series and also on Carl Cox´s Space Ibiza 25th Anniversary compilation. Such immediate positive critical reception vindicated his transformation and galvanized him to keep pushing himself to new creative levels.

After a short but inspirational tour to South America at the beginning of 2014 where he played to sweaty packed clubs and wild crowds, Brixton returned to Europe, even more driven and focused on fine-tuning his new sound and delivering more quality productions that he could be proud of. Simultaneously, he started hosting his own showcase party, "Brixton Invites", with international guest DJs and long time friends performing for small crowds in unique venues.

Finally, Brixton can feel like his transformation is complete, he has found his own sound, but now a new adventure begins.
