Next to join the Jah-Tek catalogue, we have the privilege of introducing Manchester based DES0, who, after years spent absorbing the scene and refining his technique, delivers a debut EP packed with soundsystem pressure, raw aesthetics and modern drum flex.

The EP opens with ‘Shlam’, winding up with drawn-out, ghostly atmospherics before dropping into a dubstep anthem - fortified with 2006-era energy, recharged by drilling kicks and grunge-toned minimal synth lines.

Up next, ‘Scorth’ builds into a fiery grime pit, where eerie melodies weave through heavy 808 blasts, and silk like percussion drifts over haunting, spectral grime textures.

Closing the release, ‘Speedway’ stands as the EP’s powerhouse title track, driven by a relentless lead and thunderous sub-bass that tear through with fierce, rupturing force.

Speedway EP drops on the 1st of August exclusively via Bandcamp, followed by its full release on the 8th of August on all major platforms.

Drawing on deep rhythmic tension and layered electronic textures, this track blends elements of techno, ambient, and cinematic sound design to evoke a sense of mystery, strength, and meditative unrest. The music was designed to accompany and enhance the movement language of ShiYu's choreography.

This month on Reform Radio, joining Jah-Tek, Melbourne based DJ Simbie delivers an hour long guest mix grounded in bass heavy sound and system ready energy. With dubstep at the centre, her selections move through footwork, jungle, drum & bass and beyond, shaped by a decade in Sydney’s warehouse scene and a long standing connection to low frequency music.

Now based in Melbourne, Simbie launched Gloam Music in 2024 - a platform for events and collaborations centred on sound system culture and forward thinking bass. She’s played clubs and festivals across Australia and recently in Japan, building a reputation for tightly curated selections that lean into darker textures and broken rhythms.

Expect a set that reflects years of dancefloor experience - heavy low end energy, that's built for serious listeners.

In a music landscape driven by image and exposure, NäD is a rare exception a faceless artist gaining traction by letting her music speak first.

NäD is a producer, songwriter, and sound architect focused on minimal electronic structures and emotionally restrained composition. Her sound sits between ambient design and cinematic pressure deep low-end, sparse, cryptic vocals, and controlled silence. Nothing is improvised. Everything is engineered.
