Our favourite Dutchman, Dave Mayer makes a welcome return to Bobbin Head Music with a new collaboration 'All Your Secrets' with label boss Husky. Groovy deep house music is the vibe here, with Dave & Husky layering warm pads, synth stabs and uplifting melodies to create an energetic dance floor roller.

A deluxe disco flip from Husky pulls back the tempo and adds in some lush disco strings and a bass/piano groove that's sure to get the hips moving.

PhDJ Assignment Info:

The task to embody what we’ve been experencing during module 4 led me to feel into the beauty and power in the intensity of my shadow side. So the whole thing is intense from start to finish and designed to embrace darkness and power. Some notes for the reviewer:

- I wanted to experiment with how it would feel to go in with an insanely intense 1 which has a solid beat but basically none of the other 1 elements I usually use, then dive straight into 2+ / 3, then back off after that for a breath of air with some 2-ish melodies a few tracks later. Imagining that the people at this festival have already been dancing HARD and loving it and so don’t need to be brought down to a regular 1. I tried to welcome and set the scene and root into the set but… it is a LOT because the set is designed to be intense. It may be too much and actually dysregulating. Interested to hear how it lands, particularly in the context of my breather a few songs later. Took a lil inspiration from Tasha’s get down anniversary mix with this format - the way she started pretty much straight away with a 2+ / 3 vibe then backed off into 2 lightness a little later before heading into 3 again.
- I am REALLY working on learning titration, so I tried to go up into intensity, then back off a bit a few times in this mix. Attempted to do this without losing the build but would be v interested in how it landed. 
- I tried a very light entry to 5 but it felt inconsistent with the rest of the set so the 5 starts kinda darkly, then lightens up as time goes on. I didn’t dwell in 5/6/7 too long either as I ran out of time - I’d add a lengthier  landing if I re-recorded

She began her 20-year love affair with music by selecting tunes to light up the room at afterparties, then transitioned to the DJ booth to set fire to docile dancefloors and welcome the wildness, softness, tension, stillness and fierceness that exist in all of us. Bring it ALL! 

Drawing from her knowledge of nervous system regulation, power dynamics, ritual, sex, and the tantric art of DJing, she crafts sets that are infused with lyrical feminine energy, electrifying melodies, and dirty basslines. With roots in house and flavors of techno, drum & bass, and soul, Eliza's music urges you to let the beat enter your bones and luxuriate in the juicy chaos of living. 

Eliza produces events around the SF Bay Area, including leading the SF chapter of Support Women DJs. She draws inspiration and support from the badass communities of DJs at Powerhouse DJ School and The Score Collective.

Born in Saint Petersburg with a blend of Filipino roots, who spent his youth in The Netherlands. 
His musical odyssey began as a young aspiring DJ, under the tutelage of Marvilla, where he learned the art of spinning turntables from his former partner.

Their collaboration led to a period where he could fully embrace his passion for House and Techno music. Together, they explored different styles and brought forth their unique sound, pushing the boundaries of creativity and expression. Their teamwork from 2020 to 2022 was filled with excitement, discovery, and growth, but as with all journeys, there came a time for both to forge their own paths.

In 2023, he embarked on a new chapter of his musical journey, driven by an indomitable spirit of innovation and adventure. Under his own name, he continued, determined to let his unique voice resonate in the cosmos of electronic music. With each passing month, he crafts new stories, engraved with the stamps of "New Dawn" and "Into Space," taking his audience on a sonic journey through the boundless corners of sound and emotion.

New Dawn:

A concept representing renewal, promises to be a beacon of light in the darkness, a musical daybreaker bringing a fresh breeze of creativity and excitement. Under this banner, he explores a wide range of genres, from intoxicating Afrohouse to Organic sounds, from immersive Progressive tunes to Deephouse waves. Each track, each rhythm, and each melody weaves a story that touches the soul and ignites the imagination.

Into Space:

 He takes his listeners on a cosmic journey, floating through the vast Milky Way of sound. Here, he explores boundless soundscapes, with hypnotic melodies and pulsating rhythms that elevate the mind and lighten the heart.
