A cryptic reflection on the enigmatic nature of romance, abstract filmmaker, David Lynch, wrote the poem and song "The Mysteries of Love" for his film "Blue Velvet" in 1986. This haunting poem delves into the profound, often unsettling, connection between two people. It suggests that true intimacy lies beyond understanding, existing as an ineffable and almost supernatural force. This is our French/English interpretation of his beautiful and mysterious writing style...

The Mysteries of Love (Les Mystères de l'amour)

A little bit of a different flavor of Texas Tea collaboration for me and Stephen, @texmex-shaman ... this is the first time I sent him something that had guitar from me already in it. If you listen carefully my guitar parts are the very simple repeated 4 measure loops that kind of stack up on top of each other, mostly background elements. Stephen added some crazy cool low end atmospherics as well as some distorted wailing guitars on the higher end and of course the awesome meandering lead part that ebbs and flows through this piece. I created the beat and all the synth elements.

After sending his parts back to me, Stephen mentioned it kinda gave him a David Lynch vibe. Turns out we are both huge fans of Twin Peaks and pretty much all of this great artist's work, so had to tip our hats to him, but maybe only other fans will catch the references in the title and cover art.

I sampled David Lynch & Lykke Li - I'm Waiting Here . I've been obsessed with twin peaks and david lynch lately, and am seeing Ruth Radalet of Chromatics tomorrow, this represents my exact headspace. Lo-fi VERY minimal but I didn't want to add more because i liked it so much, maybe i could add more in the future

SINCERE IMPOSTER writes, performs and/or produces a curious mixture of New Wave, Dance, EDM, Folk Rock, Metal, Art Pop, Electro, Dreamwave & Experimental World Pop. Collectively, it's a genre known as QUIRKPOP --- Music that makes you say, "What the hell is this?"

The band currently consists of two members, both living within the same body, sharing a similar existence. They identify as Danielle & Dave. They are both psychologically and musically confused. However, both are extremely and unapologetically sincere. 

Influences include Weird Al, Nathan Fielder, David Lynch, Rosalia, Monatik, Atarashii Gakko!, Rammstein, T-Pain and T-Swift. Their favorite inventions are the vacuum and the peach pitter. Their father is simply known as Vessel... who may be an entity or a god.
