Eneas Lujan - You Misery

This track was written as a response to finding out a friend was struggling with her mental health after her husband started working away from home. The track was left unfinished and gathering dust for some time, until one afternoon I was dragged along to the cinema to watch the Taylor Swift Eras Tour movie and upon returning home full of inspiration (and loving the show, shh!) I sat for the whole night composing riffs on the keyboard, so the old song was dusted off and the riffs completed the puzzle, so thank you Taylor!

Death From Above 1979 make a magnificent amount of noise for 2 people. They released their first full-length album “You’re a Woman, I’m a Machine” in 2004.  They would break up in 2006, citing creative differences.  It wasn’t until 2011 that the band officially reunited and played shows together again.  Since then they’ve put out 3 albums, and settled into a new era of working together, knowing what they both need to make the band work.  Their latest is Is 4 Lovers available through Universal Music Canada.

Ricky began his musical journey when he was still at school as a bass player playing in bands in the North East and London before moving on to Spain and slowly gravitating from the shadows to the centre stage.

Years spent travelling around the North playing at endless different venues and events honed his craft and reputation as a solid performer and in March 2020 he released his debut album ‘The Right Light’ to critical acclaim, having three tracks from it played on BBC Introducing, including one track of the week for ‘Coming Up’.

Yer weekly dose of indie rock, post-punk, power pop, shoegaze, math rock, noise pop, post-hardcore and anything with loud guitars...with some extras tossed into the mix. Hosted by Omar Sonics and a rotating cast of guests.
