Volkan T error is not only considered one of the pioneers of Turkish hip hop. He produced the legendary Turkish hip hop album Rapüstad (Killa Hakan & Fuat), played electric bass with the metalcore band Devil Inside or with the jazz musician Jean Paul Bourelly and worked with artists such as Killa Hakan, Ayben, Kool Savas, Ceza, Jamey Jasta, Murat Ertel, David Moss, Gizz Butt, Ayaz Kaplı to name a few.

He has composed and developed pieces for theater, films, radio plays, installations and performances and worked with renowned theater groups such as Rimini Protokoll, with directors such as Lukas Langhoff, Hakan Savaş Mican, Katharina Kummer with visual artists such as Cevdet Erek or on various own projects at theaters, museums or radio stations such as the GORKI, HAU Hebbel am Ufer, Hamburger Museum or the WDR (Westdeutscher Rundfunk Köln).

He studied European ethnology, political science and sociology and was one of the directors of the akademie der autodidkaten at Ballhaus Naunynstrasse from 2008 to 2016, which set artistic accents in the youth sector through sound, film, performance and theater productions. From 2013 – 2016 he was a member of the ZAKNRW advisory board. From 2018 – 2024 he was project manager for the Houseclub at HAU Hebbel am Ufer and since 2017 he has been a jury member at the Treffen junge Musik- Szene at the Haus der Berliner Festspiele and since 2021 he has been responsible for the conception of the post-talks and the moderation of the augenblickmal the festival of theater for young audiences.

Over the years, he has given various workshops and lectures in the context of art, mediation, diversity and aesthetics and has sat on several international and national juries. He has acted in award-winning films and documentaries such as „Proll“ by Adrian Figueroa and „Aşk, Mark ve Ölüm – Liebe, D-Mark und Tod“ by Cem Kaya. The radio play „Get deutsch or die tryin’“ by Necati Öziri, directed by Volkan T error, was nominated for the ARD Radio Play Award, among others.
In 2024, he opened the music and project studio Noizdamar on a first floor in Berlin Kreuzberg. In addition to conceiving new performative and audiovisual projects, the back catalog of over a hundred tracks will soon be uploaded to all streaming platforms. In addition, book projects and a music and culture program are in the starting blocks. In addition to his own work, the focus is primarily on two band projects.

Turkotronica, the electronic music project with rapper Ayben and visual artist Atif Ülkü, who are in the process of reworking the single released in 2015 and releasing it on all digital platforms. As well as the experimental black / thrash metal band Ottoman Torture (Volkan T error, Jan Schwarz, Murat Denizkusu) who are creating a new extreme sound with turkish instruments and are currently mixing and releasing their first demo EP.

Bear with me.. this is a concept piece about humans discovering an alien technology - represented by the spacey arpeggio - and experimenting with it, degrading it in the process. Then, visited by a being from the race that created the tech. They open up our minds into the 4th dimension, revealing that the technology has affects in all dimensions. And we're fucking shit up. The alien leaves knowledge and a warning, and they disappear.. Humans do what humans do and weaponize the tech. Weapon tests. Successful. Amazing power. A period of prosperity - blinded by arrogance - follows.. The aliens observe for a time, but it's not long before the same alien returns. The arpeggio, a once blissful sound, now a diminished chord haunting in the background, beginning to overwhelm all as the alien drifts in - and out - of dimensions. Attacking from anywhere and everywhere. We stand no chance.. The few remaining alive are gathered into containers to be stored like seeds. They retrieve the technology.

Playing video games and listening to metal my whole life. Now this comes out of my brain. I'm aiming for vibes of wandering past an abandoned warehouse or factory where inside it sounds like a metal band is preforming, but when you peek in it's just one mad scientist with a bunch of machines that he's trying to keep control of, and he's barely hanging on.
