Back in 2001 I created this mix, a compilation of tracks from the era when Cosmic Gate had just exploded onto the scene. Their sound was raw, powerful, and a lot harder than what they’re known for today. I had a lot of their records in my collection and at some point it just felt right to create a fully dedicated mix in their honor.

There’s one track in here that isn’t actually by them. I picked up a white label in a record store with “AWESOME Cosmic Gate Sound!!” scribbled on it, only to find out later that it was actually a Mellow Trax production. But the energy matched so well that I decided to keep it in anyway.

Enjoy this dedicated mix, Hard Trance exactly the way it was meant to be in the early 2000s!

I pray for the good and expected the worst, I've always had to put my eggs in one basket it's just a matter of how to carry the weight just like it is for my ancestors, and those that I've met throughout the years. People that are looking down has to get they're head up and move forward, I've never laid my hands on someone and if you do you should stop and think what will this do for my God and those around me.

"Pictureplane"(Travis Egedy), is a popular artist known for making his come up in the electronic music scene, DIY Venues, also popular for hanging around artists like "Grimes" and "Crystal Castles" in the early come up days of these artist, he is also the one who came up with the word "Witch House" which is a playful word on "House" music, though "Witch House" is now a popular music genre that is enjoyed by many.

"Crystal Castles" are actually one of the very first, if not the first electronic music duo to actually invent "Witch House" music, as you can hear dark beats and sorrow drawn out voices off of some of their early (demo songs/ Demo Album) dating back from "2007" and before that, which is crazy to think since during that time "Witch House" did not have a name for itself yet.

Kirian Castaño Araque, known as KYAR, born in 1994 in Manresa, (Barcelona) began his career in 2013 motivated by his restlessness and passion for techno, electronic sounds and the DJ scene that he has always loved. Over time he has shown his attitude towards the stand of various clubs, pubs and parties, His charisma marked by his deep and forceful mixes with elegant and dark sounds are what has led him to share stand and parties with many other artists such as Jus Deelax , Javi Always, Candy Cox, Pet Duo, Agatha Pher, Pablo Luque, Dave It, Paco Maroto, Andre Vicenzzo, Shitake, Lexlay, Vidaloca, Raúl Mezcolanza, D-Unity... He spent 3 years performing at Sielu Club as a resident and places like Monastery of Barcelona, Instinct, The New Order, Memphis club, Lennons club, Stroika, City Hall, nexus club, on air rave, M7 Club. He has released works through labels such as Blow Music, Zero urban, Hypnotic Skull, Trippy code , Mazzinga Records, Finder Records, winked, Dynamic Mind, Maskerade... receiving support from important artists such as Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati, Richie Hawtin and more... KYAR was resident of the techno club UDDE Club growing up with Javi Always at the stand and a lot of artists who have passed through there, with whom he has shared sessions with Paula Cazenave, Dualitik, Nuria Ghia, Víctor Fernández, Cristian Varela among them! He also resided in the emblematic party of his city City Of Techno and resided with the management agency and magement of artists Indifference Union Music, this summer after winning the contest of producers of the famous Tramunfest festival has managed to be able to play there along with artists in the poster such as Fatima Haji, Dr peacock, Trym and Vandal among others, also the same I Hate Models 1 has punctured his track Severe in another of the great festivals of the world in Italy Future Kappa Festival like Charlotte de witte in Awakenings, panorama festival, Brooklyn mirage, Chicago, echleon festival, Kntxt Festival... and in countries like Argentina or Colombia.

Slaughterhouse Entertainment Founder:

arachne is a underground rapper & RnB artist, which is also known under „hauztention“ and „venturaXL“. In 2021 he debuted with his album collaboration „Hype Boyz“ which featured numerous artists from the Swiss label „House Of Lyrics (HOL)“. The same week, the song „Hype Boyz“ from the identically named album was featured in SoundCloud‘s: „UNDRGRND RTISTZ“, which achieved over 35k plays in Europe. venturaXL then decided to take a break in the music industry and left House Of Lyrics in 2022 with no income, whatsoever, venturaXL got a debut premiere of 1.000€, which he never received as full payment. Months after leaving the label, head leader and founder „shean shax“ released a disstrack featuring an upcoming norway artist „funnyvibe“, which didnt end well for the label, since the contract they were under, didnt allow „shooting“ at ex-members of the label. it equals to no payments for the song and „House Of Lyrics“ being disbanded due to sample-claims, payment allegations and fraud, which „shean shax“ had to fight against until 2024. The sentence never went public, but shean shax has to pay a certain amount to the original musicians, for using their music until 2030. venturaXL then came to an conclusion to change his name to hauztention, and get a quick and fresh start again in the music career. He debuted under the contract of „Nothing But Loyalty Matters“ with his collaboration album „A1M1N F0R PR0GR3$$“ with numerous artists and self produced by hauztention, and in collaboration with other producers. He left „NBLM“ in 2024 and decided to leave an album behind, that the label had permission and ownership for. hauztention decided to get new equipment, a new mindset and a namechange to „arachne“. He started his own label „Slaughterhouse Entertainment“ in January of 2025, and signed his first two artists „somerAndom“ and „deus“ which had their debut with „red shiny suits“ produced by arachne. After the first debut artists, arachne had to fill up the hole of no signings whatsoever, he got in contact with atlanta rapper "KLouad" in which he also got in talk with "spazh" while planning his studio album.

spazh & KLouad, both newcomers got signed to Slaughterhouse after making their debut in "ABOVE THE RIM"

Both inspired by artists like "The Notorious B.I.G" and "Puff Daddy" showed off in an open verse on "red shiny suits" and impressed arachne to get them to work.
