I had an insane thing happen while driving in silence. I looked at the clock and it turned 11:11. At that exact moment, a song on my phone started playing out loud through the car. It was a song with spoken word and shared the most powerful message about inner peace. The only sound was the road under the wheels before this, I did not touch my phone or the stereo.

You can read into this like I did, or not, but I took that one song and made it the intro to a very special mix I’m making. It was like a foundational message and I took it to heart, big time.

By the time I finished the mix last night, I had dug deep into the archives for vocal tunes and melodies to help me speak and communicate properly - something good, something to bring light, a bump of happiness, if you will, something almost ‘normal’, for the first time in awhile.

I’ve never made a mix this profound to share a message before. And when it’s all said and done, sonically, the mix rises and falls, tumbles and topples, but it reads lyrically like a book. The mix feels like an auditable painting. A story to tell.

Weird electrical things have been happening around me lately, like lights flickering or electronics going off randomly, but this one tune that came on was like a divine message. And if you know me, you know I believe in synchronicities so I took this to heart and rolled with it.

The mix comes out next week. This is how I bare my heart when words don’t come easily. Getting lost in this helped me find pieces of myself and hope it does the same for you when it comes out.
