MAde has been bunkered down in the north of Norway cooking up an EP  that harks back to the ‘classic’ 90s Paper sound with help from some his Scandinavian friends.

Tylen Fra Sande is peak time house for discerning dance floors, Filtered sample, rolling disco bass, snatched vocals and drums that swing like a illegal New York after hours. The pedal hits the floor and stays there.

Hailing from Sweden, Storken does what he does best with a remix that is groove heavy and soulful with a touch of disco wonk. It will give the beards something to Shazam, but more importantly the dancers the perfect soundtrack to throw down to.

Spillopper I By`n shows another side to MAde’s production with a downtempo cut that wouldn’t sound out of place on Kruder & Dorfmeister’s K & D Sessions. It’s super deep with a bass that flanges like Trevor Horn is manning the controls, live drums, delayed guitars and the sound of a band jamming in the pocket at 4am of the best speakeasy you’ve ever been to.

Finally fellow Norwegian countryman Kappekoff takes things into cosmic territory. Soaring synths, arps, delayed vocals with enough disco stardust to power the space station shuttle. 

Norway’s future is in good hands!

Heute gibt’s für eure Ohren etwas ganz besonderes: Rufous übernimmt unseren Gästmix – und wenn wir sagen, dass der Mann rasiert, dann meinen wir das in zweierlei Hinsicht: Im Dayjob verpasst er euch ne freshe Frisette, nachts cuttet er einen Track an den nächsten. 

Rufous ist ein Künstler aus Köln, der tief in der lokalen Festival- und Clubkultur verwurzelt ist. Angefangen hat er mit Raumgestaltung und schnell gemerkt, dass er diese Räume auch selbst akustisch füllen will – mit seinem Sound. Sein Debüt feierte er auf dem Katzensprung Festival, kurz darauf folgten Auftritte im Odonien, im privaten Raum und dann wurde er festes Mitglied des Lafari Kollektivs (https://soundcloud.com/lafaricologne). Weitere Gigs im UrsprungFi und erneut im Odonien folgten.

Seine Sets sind genreübergreifend, intuitiv kuratiert und leben von einer feinen, fast schon magischen Selektion: groovy – housy – freudvoll – unkonventionell – farbenfroh. Rufous erzählt mit seinen Sets Geschichten und nimmt das Publikum mit auf seine Reise.

Unser Diskoheinz hat ihn vor ziemlich genau einem Jahr im Fi entdeckt – und musste sich arg beherrschen, nicht direkt durch den Club zu shazamen. Mit einem kurzen Talk nach seinem Set kreuzten sich die Wege und Rufous fand den Weg zur Diskologne. 

Am 13.12. stehen Rufous & Diskoheinz endlich gemeinsam hinter den Decks. Zur Einstimmung gibt’s hier den exklusiven Gästmix: atmosphärisch, groovy und voller Rufous-Charme. Viel Spaß beim Eintauchen! 🐟✨🪩
