i was born and raised in a small town in Leicestershire famous for its pork pie's, employed as a tree surgeon for sometime then became a fabricator welder, but never letting go of the passion for music which in my life time has been many genres.....ya all stay cool now

Born in 1984 in Copenhagen, Denmark, DJ Sigvaldason carries deep Icelandic roots and a lifelong passion for electronic music. From an early age, his fascination with sound led him to experiment with DJing, and by the age of 15 he was already refining his skills behind the decks. What began as a hobby quickly evolved into a professional journey, captivating audiences across Scandinavia and beyond.

His professional DJ career took off in 2008, performing at events and private parties. By the summer of 2009, he became resident DJ at Kulturkajen Docken, delivering Chill Out and Lounge sets every weekend. Since then, Sigvaldason has played at leading Danish venues as well as international stages, averaging around 100 performances per year across club nights, festivals, and radio shows.

At the core of DJ Sigvaldason’s musical identity is Trance. His sound is driven by emotion, melody, and powerful energy, but he also has a deep love for House and Techno. Never afraid to push boundaries, he frequently blends genres and creates crossovers that bridge groove, atmosphere, and peak-time intensity.

Sigvaldason is the host of the internationally streamed radio show “Trance to the People”. While Trance forms the foundation of the show, it spans a broad spectrum of electronic music. Listeners can expect journeys through Melodic Techno, Progressive House, Psytrance, and Goa Trance, creating a dynamic and evolving soundscape that reflects both underground depth and dancefloor energy.

Beyond DJing and broadcasting, Sigvaldason has been an active force in the Copenhagen electronic music scene. He played a key role in launching venues such as Njalsgade 21 and Club Nuclear, and in the 2010s he founded TranceCph, Copenhagen’s leading trance collective, bringing high-quality trance events to the city’s underground scene.

Today, DJ Sigvaldason continues to evolve his sound—firmly rooted in Trance, enriched by House and Techno influences, and guided by a fearless crossover mindset that keeps both dance floors and listeners engaged.
