Tapefeed present the final chapter of their Evolving Echoes series with a 5-track EP that marks the culmination of a sonic journey dedicated to dancefloor-focused techno. Out May 16 via Inveterate Records, the Evolving Echoes 04 EP also features a standout remix by one of the most exciting names in the contemporary scene: French producer Perfo.

The record opens with "Zero-G", a percussive workout layered with jungle-tinged rhythms and bouncing, mind-massaging sound design. "Levitation Sequence" dives deeper into polyrhythmic territory, its submarine-like motif and unpredictable textures pulling listeners into hypnotic depths. "Voidwalkers" delivers minimal yet immersive techno: a growling bassline and dissonant lead evolve with elegance and tension, while refined drums and suspenseful pads add cinematic flair. With "Drifting Just Above," Tapefeed strike a playful yet driving balance—shuffle-heavy grooves meet mischievous sequences in a track full of hypnotic energy.

Closing the record is Perfo’s "Long Healing Remix" of Drifting Just Above, a deep and dub-influenced reinterpretation. Alien echoes, angelic pads, and an evolving chord pattern unfold over elegant hi-hat patterns and textured sound design—an immersive, raw yet warm composition that stands as a masterful conclusive remix to the series.

With its fourth release, Moving Pressure welcomes its first external artist: young Slovenian producer Obscur. With a signature sound that is driving and subtly psychedelic, his debut on the label doesn’t stray from the core tenets of its sonic ethos. Obscur delivers minimalism with purpose—dynamic, intentional, and wholly physical.

‘F135’ opens the A-side with a sinister tilt—rubbery squeaks stretch and coil around a flickering, synthetic voice. It’s tactile and strange, without losing movement. ‘Soul Eater’ follows with a slow-burn crescendo, nestling psychedelic inflections into a warm low-end. On the flip, ‘Stockholm Syndrome’ pares things back. Dry, stripped rhythms carry an atmospheric tension—it’s austere yet playful, leaving space for darker hues to linger without fully settling. A precise, heads-down statement. ‘Blasphemy’ follows with a tighter percussive grip and Feral-esque, panning modulations. Highs slice through a foundation of finely textured grooves—functional at its core, but laced with enough detail to give the track a sharper, more intricate edge. The digital bonus, ‘Diamond City’, stretches the sonic palette even further. Not through layers, but through tone: steel blues and deep violets bounce off metallic bleeps with cinematic restraint, closing the EP on a reflective note.

Based in Berlin, Kaan Pirecioglu centers his music on purism and functionality, crafting techno tracks with a hypnotic and timeless character. Kaan’s journey into music production began with his first digital EPs on labels like Platform 22 and Methodical, later evolving with vinyl releases on Schimmer Records and Influenced Records, the latter featuring a remix by Jeroen Search.

With recent EPs on K S R, Float Records and Primordial State, as well as track support from artists like DVS1, Claudio PRC, Efdemin, and many more, Kaan is emerging as a notable figure in today’s techno scene.

Field Observer is a boundary-pushing exploration of fringe soundscapes, blending dub techno elements with industrial textures to forge new sonic territories. This project weaves heavy basslines, metallic percussion, and haunting atmospheres into an immersive experience that is both hypnotic and unsettling. Balancing atmospheric depth with rhythmic intensity, Field Observer challenges conventions, creating a sound that remains conceptually relevant over time.

Performing under various aliases, including Decair and NxNW, his sound explores the fringes of industrial, dub-infused sound design and rhythmic textured noise. Over the past decade, both the NxNW project—alongside collaborator Underneath—and Field Observer have shared the stage with artists such as Rrose, Daniel Bell (DBX), Drumcell, Shiva, and Kyle Geiger, to name few. With a dynamic approach that fuses dancefloor functionality with raw emotion and intensity, his current moniker crafts performances that are as sonically immersive as they are driving.
