This first half of the performance drifts through slow textures, forest abstraction and subtle sci-fi atmospheres — an unhurried ambient space shaped by Finnish nature, minimalism and quiet tension. Recorded live at Institut finlandais during an intimate, refined evening surrounded by Kustaa Saksi’s textile artwork Juuret, a piece that echoed the same woodland spirit running through the sound. Designed for calm focus, background atmosphere, or deep inner drift, while chef Sami Tallberg introduced the audience to distinctive Finnish flavours.

Moves like light filtered through water — steady, enveloping, and quietly infinite.

Tells the story through a broad unbroken field of tone, shaped not by rhythm but by pressure, drift, and harmonic tide.

Subtle fluctuations ripple beneath the surface during the early phases, deepening into denser resonance as the track evolves. Near the eighteen-minute mark, the energy gathers and blooms — a moment of sharpening presence before settling back into weightless glow.

Like time suspended — not looping, not progressing, but unfolding. A meditation made tangible through tone.

“Going Under” was created during a difficult moment.
It wasn’t something I planned — more like a path I had to walk through. A slow descent into a darker space, the kind you don’t really talk about, only feel. The ambient layers, the low textures, the quiet tension — all of it came from a place where I was trying to stay steady while the ground inside was shifting.
Finishing this track took more out of me than I expected.
After it was done, there was a heavy drop — like the music pulled something from me on its way out. Maybe that’s why this piece exists at all: as a trace of that descent, a small fragment of the struggle that shaped it.
The visuals come from the beautiful footage of Spencer Frost.
I edited the film myself, trying to match that feeling of drifting through your own shadow — slow, heavy, but honest.

Echoform+ModeM is a new creative chapter and collaboration heavily influenced by the innovation, logic, and precision of early 1990's electronic music and modern day technical mechanix inspired by artists such as Time Modem, Lassigue Bendthaus, Aes Dana, Geomatic, Clock DVA, Implant Code, Sundial Aeon, E-Mantra, Artefakto, Trilithon, The Klinik, X Marks The Pedwalk, Handful of Snowdrops, and labels Music Research GMBH, Abfahrt, Boy, Ausfahrt, and Ultimae, among others. The music is a fusion of cerebral intelligence and trance influences. This is not techno dance floor drudgery.

These Guitars Say Sorry is the banner for a diverse range of artists, from UK singer-songwriter These Guitars Say Sorry to classical composer Jeremias Langsämmer along with his ensemble, Icelandic post-rock band Laxá with the Heima Kvartett, ambient artist Siegfried Jünger, and Doom Jazz ensemble The Dark Messiahs. Founded by Jez Stephen, who incepted all the projects, the label has released over 30 albums, crafting a unique sonic identity across genres.
