While in Wet Picnic our lives were pretty intense.

We had only just arrived in Los Angeles from other parts of the globe,
met and played together in a band that didn’t quite fit and we were going to rock the world.

Trying to make sense of who we were and how to proceed forward as a band while our private lives were at crossroads.

The first time Gustavo played ‘In This Crossroad’ at rehearsal, it was gorgeous and clear.
Its mood and lyrics captured bittersweet days we are all familiar with.

This version is nowhere near the quality of the original version since it is only a demo that
was meant to be re-recorded and never happened.

A gem not recorded by Wet Picnic, so glad it lives again!

I changed some of the lyrics having had no access to them at the time it was demoed.

This is an alternate vocal demo of a track that will eventually appear on the Pillow Lineage album. I’m sharing this version so that what I’m building doesn’t get lost along the way. I’m not sure if I’ll ever release or even finish a mastered version of this.

The vocal recording is honestly pretty rough—apologies for that. Since I don't usually sing and mostly focus on the instrumental side, I don’t have a proper mic for vocals. I just used my laptop mic and did my best to mix it so the vocals sound somewhat clear and on pitch.

That said, I think the instrumental side turned out quite well, and I plan to rework it into a future instrumental piece. So this remains just an experiment—something spontaneous, recorded during a time that hasn’t exactly been easy for me.
