Digital Dream Disc creates a melancholic, imaginative world of 80’s and 90’s nostalgia for listeners to disappear into.  And while his lyrical content can be dark, there is always an element of hope for a better future.  This iconoclastic approach to hip-hop gives him a distinct and expressive sound, one that effortlessly builds a genuine connection with his growing audience.

Growing up in Santa Monica, D3 fell in love with old-school rap created on analog equipment.  After relocating to Houston as a teenager, he became even more immersed in hip-hop, and began his career as a producer in 2016.  In the ensuing years, his tastes evolved rapidly.  He began to incorporate textures inspired from by indie underground, with elements of post-punk, synth-pop, and even vapor wave becoming integral parts of his sound.  
Digital Dream Disc’s breakthrough came with his debut single ‘Trippin When I’m Dead.’  The 2021 track arrived fully formed, showcasing D3’s thoughtful nature and bleak ruinations on modern society. Since then, he has built up an impressive discography, revealing new sides of his artistry with every release.

The brand of gothic hip-hop that D3 is pioneering is perfectly suited for fans of underground rap.  With a steady stream of new material and live performances expected for this year and beyond, Digital Dream Disc is poised to break out of his local scene and make a major impact in the hip-hop world.
