What truly puzzles visitors is the garden’s mysterious energy source. There are no visible wires or generators hidden among the mangroves, making the whole experience even more awe-inspiring. It feels almost as if the garden draws power straight from the atmosphere, leading to speculation about a hidden energy within the forest.

A messenger hailing from a neighboring tribe arrives at your campsite, and you extend a warm welcome with genuine hospitality. You offer him a refreshing drink, fully aware that his journey has likely been both long and exhausting, and you want to make him feel at home after his travels.

With a gentle demeanor, you encourage him to share any messages or news from his people. You express your heartfelt desire for peaceful coexistence and harmony with the tribe that neighbors yours. You emphasize the importance of any insights he can provide, as such knowledge will be greatly beneficial in fostering and nurturing a positive relationship between your two communities. While lengthy stories are not a requirement unless he wishes to recount them, your primary focus is on grasping the intentions of his tribe. By doing so, you can ensure that both tribes can continue to support each other whenever it aligns with your shared interests.

You reassure him of your openness, indicating that you are here to listen actively and learn without casting any judgment. You encourage him to speak freely and openly, ensuring he understands that he need not fear any form of punishment or retribution for what he shares.

Upon hearing your welcoming words, he places his hand over his heart and reverberates two poignant words in response:

“Indigenous.... man.”

Nestled in the northeastern region of Washington State, Penrith serves as the backdrop for the formative teenage years of Keith. Formerly known as Penrith Farms.

This place spans 220 odd acres with the true origin of the Little Spokane River as its scenic backdrop. As you come into P1, parking lot, there is a waterfall and a year-round pond nourished by the pure waters of multiple natural Atesian springs. (fun fact: Where the springs are located, there is deep purple seaweed growing in abundance.) 

It reflects the serenity and harmony that permeate the landscape, inviting you to immerse yourself in the splendor of nature. 

The centerpiece of Penrith is P1. The majestic lodge stands proudly with its vaulted ceilings, wood fireplace, and views that showcase the beauty of the surroundings.  

It serves as a sanctuary where one can find solace and inspiration, connecting with the essence of the land.  Surrounding the lodge, various out-buildings and cabins add to the charm and versatility of this exceptional property.  Each structure holds its own story.  (trust me, there are 1000's)

Penrith embodies nature's beauty. It is a place where one can escape the hectic pace of modern life and rediscover the simplicity and tranquility that the land offers.

Behind the song:

Dedicated to the most influential pair of kindred spirits, that I have ever met. 
Jim and Sherry Brewster, may you know.... you shaped so many of us for the light. 

Growing up to become the musician that I have become, wouldn’t have been a thing had I not gone to Penrith. For it is here that the keyboardist from the Greg Khin Band (my love’s in Jeopardy, baaby ooooooooh-ooohoooo)    Would help raise me and guide my fire towards the music.  He would let me sit in his sunlit log cabin living room and pick apart the vinyl collection and he explained so much about music to me.
