Assembling my new rig (as per specs below) was a wondrous and exciting exploratory creative adventure that began 2017/2018 in Brixton, London and completed in 2019 @ Guitar Centre, Hollywood CA subsequent to recording w/ Mathias Schneeberger at Donner & Blitzen Studios, CA. 

As many gearheads know, reverb FX has been trending for many years now. It's utilisation among guitarists showcasing this type of guitar FX surprisingly, still remains largely predictable. Pretty, clean, major keys, cliche soundscapes. I wanted to experiment with gritty textures to juxtapose the ambience, employ middle eastern influences and ultimately try to demonstrate how the guitar can still compete with the over reliance of modern day utilisation of synthesis.

Just having fun with various musical exercises... this time, a Spaghetti Western style tune featuring the Moog Grandmother synth, a Gibson Les Paul Guitar (with the Strymon El Capistan for Delay, the Eventide H9 for Tremolo, Fulltone OCD for Overdrive, and the Digitech Freqout for controlled Feedback), and a Gretsch Bass, along with some drums and atmospherics.
