DJ Supermarkt a sorti 2 compilations avec Yacht Soul. C'étaient toutes des reprises de chansons de yacht rock dans un style soul. J’ai maintenant tout inversé. Ma sélection comprend désormais des artistes Afro Ammericains issus en réalité de la soul, du funk et du jazz, mais qui ont également sorti des chansons qui présentent certains parallèles avec le yacht rock en termes de style, d'arrangement et d'instrumentation. Pour moi, Yacht Rock est une sorte de version rock de la soul de la côte ouest et vous devriez donc profiter du côté émouvant et détendu de Yacht Soul que j'ai concocté pour vous.

The Soul Yatch

I had a bunch of records standing and taunting me. Some house and houseish 12-inches from this year, many that I brought back from a summer vacation trip and just some that have popped up as great songs from the past. This is a very energetic and bumpy mix, sample heavy, but with a feelgood vibe. Less thinking, more dancing and throwing all this together.
