Born in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, Iago began their curatorial practice and work as an event producer in 2021. They are characterized by a DIY spirit and an approach that advocates experimentation and diversity in all the arts. In 2018 they moved to Berlin, where they started the Codex Club project, a space dedicated to promoting solidarity, cultural diversity and respect for different identities in the legendary clubs Arkaoda and Panke Culture. Its curatorial line integrates sound art, experimental sound, performance and mutant club. In recent years, Iago has been involved with different groups on the international scene and with radio stations such as Radio Alhara, from Palestine, or Cashmere Radio, from Berlin.

After completing her Degree in Fine Arts, in 2013, she leaned her professional life towards music. Le Parody is the alias under which Soledad composes, produces and performs.
Throughout the years, she has released three albums and has performed more than a hundred live shows, both in Spain and abroad. Soledad has also collaborated, composed and produced a wide variety of projects, including an opera and the sound design of a film.
Her interests lie in folklore and electronic music. She plays acoustic instruments fluently —such as the guitar and piano— but prefers synthesizers, samplers and DAWs to develop the most her work. Le Parody pieces are composed using analog synthesizers and digital production platforms such as Logic Pro, Ableton and Cubase.
Soledad’s studies in Fine Arts and professional development in photography and design, in addition to her continued practice as a lyricist and poet, have expand her training and experience, enriching her musical creations.

[ENG] AL from La Algaida, an alter ego that emerges to approach nature and its mystique from the voice, the voice prolonged in space, from rural poetry to a global declaration. The lament of the world is released through the practices of voices. A journey about intimate spirituality and its territories, imagining that the moan of the earth could awaken our sleeping thoughts. His music explores electronic sounds, combined with a voice that releases secret emotions.

[ENG] Jose Perelló has been a musician and sound experimenter for more than 25 years. He has been immersed in multiple musical projects that have covered styles as diverse as metal, psychedelia, Indian classical music, hiphop or techno. In any of the styles he has tried, he always tries to experiment with different instruments and sounds to try to get closer to deep listening through the trance state. In its most electronic aspect, the play with synthesizers takes precedence, trying to access the essence of the sounds, without too many flourishes, so that they can bring the viewer closer to a conscious presence. It also tries to investigate simple polyrhythms that draw on different cultures while using the sampling of voices and exotic elements that place the listener outside of old Europe.

[ENG] Artist and musician, originally from the Salt River Valley region of the United States. He currently lives and works in Berlin, Germany. Their artistic and musical practices are based on a methodology of recording experience and immediate intuition. Beginning with simple patterns, sonic loops and fragmented textures, his work creates collage-like musical pieces, emotionally charged and proposing physical interaction.

[ESP] Artista y músico, originario de la región de Salt River Valley en los Estados Unidos. Actualmente vive y trabaja en Berlín, Alemania. Sus prácticas artísticas y musicales parten de una metodología de registro de la experiencia e intuición inmediata. [ENG] Builtthenburnt is the alter ego of José Luis López, a multidisciplinary musician from Murcia who is also part of bands such as Nepal Napalm (@nepalnalam) and Crudo Pimento (@crudopimiento) among other projects. The project moves between ambient, industrial music, noise and psychedelia.
The idea behind the name accompanies the live modus operandi: much of the music is built for each live show and burns with it.

[ESP] Builtthenburnt es el alter ego de José Luis López, músico multidisciplinar murciano que también forma parte de bandas como Nepal Napalm y Crudo Pimento entre otros proyectos. El proyecto se mueve entre el ambient, la música industrial, el noise y la psicodelia.
La idea detrás del nombre acompaña al modus operandi en directo: gran parte de la música es construida para cada directo y arde con él.

[ENG] For Rota 2023, Juliana will work with Alex Pépin in a project called “Cereus”: see the description in the comments! Dr. Juliana España Keller is a British-Canadian-Swiss sound artist and performer, curator, writer and educator. She lives and works in Alhaurín el Grande (Málaga, Andalusia).
In her sound pieces, Juliana works with modular synthesis and speculative research. She is interested in participatory practices, fluctuating sites, sensory subjects and tactile experimentation. Her work is process and practice led. It addresses feminist politics with a collective, activist approach and a deep reflection on the posthuman. She is particularly interested in the transformations of the human, the more than human, the future of work and creativity in the 21st century, collective intelligence, non-human intelligences (AI, animal and microbial intelligence).

Musicologist, teacher and artist. She lives and works in Bilbao.
Her work is built from sound experimentation —often based on melodies and cycles of folk music— creating pieces that oscillate between minimalism, sci-fi ambient and noise, playing analog and digital synthesizers in live improvisation.
She has been part of various Granada underground projects (Chinyi, Arderáis, among others) and after self-publishing her first solo LP (2015), she joined Repetidor label, where she release the album El Ojo Brillante (2017) and La era del Trance in April 2023.
In autumn 2023, the film Mamántula by Ion de Sosa will be released, for which Marta has composed the soundtrack and the sound design.

Funny Sunday Mix 1 - DJ ART

Aldarrax is an experimental music and sound art label based in Blanca, a small oasis in the arid regions of Murcia, in southern Spain. The main objective of the label is to connect people and territories through sound, to build community and to make space for experimental sound practices. Half-made music, new collaborations and unorthodox recording techniques are at the core of the label’s editorial line. 

Occasionally, artists are invited to create specific works, proposing collective improvisation sessions to generate spontaneous music. Field recording, soundscape composition and DIY instruments which incorporate local materials are encouraged. We resonate with peripheral, dissident and strange music. Aldarrax holds music as a ritual and animistic tool that strengthens bonds and works on bodies to create altered states of consciousness in autonomous zones. We are interested in repetitiveness, broken rhythms, trance-inducing sounds and durational practices that search for these other realms beyond the human.
