Hello and welcome to the DJ B-12 Deep Acid House Experience episode number 52 for August of 2024. We have a very special show for you this month. September 2024 Mix

A young entrepreneur, event organizer, DJ and electronic music fanatic, Jason Savoie is developing and organizing events to promote the electronic music culture in New Brunswick, Canada. Jason has a vision for the entertainment and integration of electronic music in his province and is actively working to make it happen.

In 2010, he made his debut as a DJ at Shippagan’s Traffik Lounge and took the opportunity to travel and see what was happening elsewhere in the world with the advent of the commercial “EDM” (Electronic dance music). In 2012, he traveled to Belgium for Tomorrowland, one of the most popular electronic music festivals in the world. After having participated in several other festivals and events such as Bal en Blanc (Montreal, QC), Escapade (Ottawa, ON), Boonstock (Kelowna, BC), ÎleSoniq (Montreal, QC), Beach Club (Pointe-Calumet, QC ), ABGT200 (Amsterdam), he devotes his time and effort to organizing his own events and bringing new things while demonstrating his knowledge and expertise with interactive sets and new genres of popular emerging music such as deep house , tech house, progressive house and Trance.

In 2014, he co-hosts the “Ultrasonic” event at Shippagan, one of his new innovative evening concepts with interactive décor that includes several guest DJs with different kinds of electronic music. During the same year, he organized the first Acadian Beach Party during the summer at Grande-Anse Beach, without knowing that this event would become one of the most popular electronic music events in New Brunswick, specifically in the Acadian Peninsula.

In 2015 he is co-organizer of “Project L” in Bathurst, the first electronic music festival in the north of the province where he got the chance to work with DJ TRENND (René Leblanc) who became one of his best friends, work colleague and member of the organizing team for the Acadian beach parties.

In 2016, his work is noticed throughout the province with the continuity and success of these famous Acadian beach parties. In addition, he remains active during the year by organizing various evenings such as the “White Party” at the Triangles night club and “Activate Your Senses” at the Aberdeen Cultural Center in Moncton, an audiovisual evening with a unique interactive lighting and decor of this kind in New Brunswick. Based on the concept of Above & Beyond Group Therapy, “Activate Your Senses” allows him to truly demonstrate his skills and knowledge in electronic music event productions. For him, this evening allows him to really show his true colors as an artist and DJ, starring the best productions of the year by the publishing houses Anjunadeep and Anjunabeats, which according to him, are the future in deep house , progressive house and trance.

In 2017, he launches his new concept “Jason’s Kitchen” with the help of DJ TRENND (René LeBlanc). An audiovisual broadcast live on his Facebook page from his kitchen where both artists take advantage, once a month, to play the latest deep house, tech house, techno, progressive music and also promote their events.

At this time, the young enthusiast continues to work on his projects. He hopes to continue traveling to meet his favorite DJs who influence his personal and professional journey, hoping that one day he may invite them to New Brunswick to participate in his own events. Jason is a leader in organizing electronic music events, a great DJ with a lot of experience, a source of inspiration for young entrepreneurs, and is influencing trends and musical tastes among young adults across the province and his entourage with his personal experiences and his musical knowledge.

Acrobat has found his own style between melodic house, techno and progressive vibes. Naturally crossing these musical genres he keeps his finger on the pulse of underground trends and beats. Deep tech grooves, rolling basslines, hypnotic  percussions, melodic & atmospheric synths are the main elements of his sound. 

Through his music Acrobat connects with the dancefloor and it is an amazing place to be when he is playing. He always surprises party people with the best tunes from his collection. He leads the dance floor, giving a global audience a chance to enjoy an unforgettable experience, a moving story full of passion, energy and great vibes.

Vic Light is a Trance DJ with over 20 years of experience.

During this time, Vic has firmly established himself on the underground scene, having held residencies for Slinky and Remedy and having played for every major club night in the UK, including Godskitchen, Passion, GoodGreef,  Trance Sanctuary, Trancecoda, Xstatic and The Gallery, as well as holding several residencies in Ibiza and most recently playing the main room opening set of the Cream Ibiza closing party @ Amnesia.

During this time, Vic has played directly before or after some of the biggest names in Trance, such as Paul van Dyk, John O'Callaghan, Simon Patterson, Bryan Kearney, John Askew, ReOrder, Menno De Jong, Sean Tyas, Dan Stone, Manuel Le Saux, Jordan Suckley, Ben Nicky, Solis & Truby, Genix, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Matt Hardwick, Judge Jules, Lisa Lashes, Mat Zo and many more, as well as supporting the likes of Armin van Buuren, Aly & Fila, Ferry Corsten, Eddie Halliwell and Sander van Doorn, amongst others.

Vic is an exceptionally diverse and passionate DJ. His skill of being able to cohesively progress a set through multiple genres, puts him amongst some of the best in the world. Having a love for not just the deeper Progressive Trance, but also the more uplifting 140bpm sound and everything in-between, allows him to control any dance floor at any time of the day or night, whether it be a small intimate gig or an enormous outdoor festival.

I was born, grew up and still living in Valencia, a city next to the Mediterranean in Spain. Its light, heat and its sea have permeated my skin since ever. Before learning to read I liked to play melodies with my toy piano or my guitar. I grew up in the 80's in love with the new age of music. First with bands like Pink Floyd, ELO, Bauhaus, Joy Division. After I was witness of the newborn electronic music explosion, the arrival of the synthesizers, enjoying with Jean Michel Jarre, New Order, Depeche Mode, Visage. From other bands like The Cure, Simple Minds, The Smiths, and so many others. And more underground music like Ann Clark, Propaganda, that starting German techno that was breaking through and fascinated me. But I have never stayed in a epoch. Each new decade has given me new proposals, some darker years but others full of fresh ideas. No time was better. That's my motto. I still enjoy more every day. Now, I feel very influenced by the melodic techno and progressive. People like Jeremy Olander, Cid Inc, Khen, Guy J, Cristoph, Dmitry Molosh ... and more. 

Therefore, one day, a few years ago, I decided that it was time to be part of this fantastic world that is the music. Technology has advanced enough to allow a passionate about non-professional musician will take all his creativity outside. And here I am. My city has a peculiar philosophy, different from other Spain cities. When winter ends, people burns everything old and explodes between fire and noise, color, music and flowers, reborning in a new spring. The essence of fire, the rebirth of the ashes like a Phoenix carried it in my blood. And all of it permeates my work. Make me who I am. And it enlightens me in this new way of my life. Music is the answer.

Naci, crecí y sigo viviendo en Valencia, una ciudad junto al Mediterráneo en España. Su luz, su calor y su mar han impregnado mi piel desde siempre. Antes de empezar a leer me gustaba tocar melodías con mi piano de juguete o mi guitarra. Crecí en los 80 enamorado de la nueva era de la música. Primero con grupos como Pink Floyd, ELO, Bauhaus, Joy Division. Luego fuí testigo de la explosión de la recién nacida música electrónica, de la llegada de los sintetizadores y disfruté con Jean Michel Jarre, New Order, Depeche Mode, Visage. De grupos como The Cure, Simple Minds, The Smiths, y tantos otros. Música más underground como Ann Clark, Propaganda, ese techno alemán inicial que se abría paso y me fascinaba. Pero nunca me he quedado en una época. Cada nueva década me ha otorgado nuevas propuestas, algunos años más oscuros y otros llenos de ideas frescas. Ninguna época fue mejor. Ese es mi lema. Sigo disfrutando cada día más. Ahora, me siento muy influenciado por el tecno melódico y el progressive. Gente como Jeremy Olander, Cid Inc, Khen, Guy J, Cristoph, Dmitry Molosh...y muchos más. 

Por eso, un día hace algunos años decidí que era el momento de formar parte de este mundo fantástico que es la música. La tecnología avanzó lo suficiente como para permitir que un apasionado de la música no profesional sacara de su interior toda su creatividad. Y aquí estoy. Mi ciudad tiene una filosofía peculiar, diferente al resto de ciudades de España. Cuando acaba el invierno quema todo lo viejo y explota entre fuego y estruendos, color y flores, para renacer en una nueva primavera. La esencia del fuego, el renacer de las cenizas como un ave Fénix lo llevo en la sangre. Y todo ello impregna mi trabajo. Me hace ser lo que soy. Y me ilumina en este nuevo camino de la vida. La música es la respuesta.
