Após o lançamento dos aclamados singles Oxalá e Home, Chandi revela-nos Portal, o seu aguardado álbum de estreia, com edição a 7 de março de 2025. Neste trabalho, a artista multidisciplinar tece uma tapeçaria sonora que transcende fronteiras e atravessa culturas, refletindo o seu percurso enquanto artista portuguesa de raízes indianas.

Portal explora profundamente a ideia de casa como um espaço em constante transformação – um lugar interno e externo, físico e espiritual. O álbum convida a atravessar limiares sonoros que equilibram texturas orgânicas e eletrónicas, mantendo a essência de world music característica de Chandi. É uma celebração do transitar e uma imersão musical sobre as dualidades da existência.
Cada faixa de Portal é um convite único para entrar num espaço sagrado e íntimo, onde a narrativa musical desafia categorizações herméticas - pela diversidade das composições que integram este disco de estreia. Através de sonoridades assumidamente diversas e plurais, Chandi expressa-se musicalmente sobre temas como Casa, Identidade, Território e Pertença.
Enquadrado numa trajetória da artista em que o ativismo afetivo tem sido um denominador comum às suas obras, Chandi sente o seu disco Portal como uma possibilidade de integração de vários projetos autorais (como o livro O Grito da Bananeira e a performance Trânsitos); que se alinham agora numa obra discográfica e num futuro espetáculo imersivo e interativo.
Destaca-se o desejo da artista multidisciplinar por apresentar este disco em diferentes formatos: performance imersiva, concerto, tertúlia e residência, onde a urgência criativa “Afinal o que é casa? ”será um ponto fulcral do seu trabalho. A artista pretende realizar uma tour muito especial, fazendo jus à viagem que fez e continua a fazer, materializada agora num disco - o Portal.

Portal afirma-se como um trabalho musical profundo, expressando a vertigem primordial que Chandi descreve como "o regresso a um lugar que eu nunca conheci". Muito mais do que apenas um disco, Portal é uma travessia, um convite para mergulhar nas paisagens infinitas do som, imagens, palavras e sensações.
Com Portal, Chandi consolida-se como uma das vozes mais singulares da música contemporânea nacional, unindo territórios, culturas e emoções num trabalho de rara sensibilidade. Este é um convite para abrir portas e atravessar fronteiras de várias dimensões.
Portal foi co-produzido por Nilson Dourado, cantautor, produtor e director artístico, e conta com colaborações singulares de artistas como António Barbosa, António Cruz (Tó Cruz), Celina da Piedade, Francisco Gaspar, Guilherme Rodrigues, João Colaço, Mário Aphonso III e Ruca Rebordão.
E, celebrando esta viagem Chandi edita o seu disco Portal com o novo single Dragonfly em co- autoria com Ruca Rebordão na percussão. Dragonfly surge como uma canção de agradecimento aos ancestrais, às memórias e às histórias como fonte de inspiração, e é também neste reconhecimento das suas raízes que a artista se ancora para seguir a sua jornada enquanto criadora.

THE TUMBLEDOWN BLUES (LIVE @ NORTHERN NIGHTS FESTIVAL) : 
It's 2:30am and in a fast-paced, ever changing world  I’m dropping a downtempo mix that blazes a slow, achy trail across the American West. Festooned with ghost towns, rusticating prairie graves and lonesome crows, this collection of tunes lends you doleful voices, blues guitars, twangy banjos and the stuttering ragtime of vintage pianos. Its sideshow twin is the conjoined grumble and grime of downtempo bass. The cadence does have moments of upswing; ribald bar rooms and scurrying outlaws make a momentary presence. But the coffee-meets-whisky approach makes this sonic libation yet another perfect slow-sipper as the soundtrack for your wayward soul.

This one! Transglobally good groove of Gritty and gossamer, delicate and driving, spaciously dense and playfully serious Afroblessed, Latin scorched, Heart-Opening, Booty-Shaking levity. 

Here's a mix of deep, pulsing and vibrant global magic. A late night house music journey on the playa that extracts itself from an incredibly tumultuous burn: The heat, the wind, the destruction, the dust...then rain. 

The elements in all their adversity did little to restrain an incredible dancefloor at Sound Garden where I dropped MY most inspired set since attending my first burn 30 years ago. While massive thanks to the dancefloor for its constant inspiration that night, an even bigger thanks goes out to my friend Mark Duncan, the inimitable and indefatigable visionary and host who curated and produced yet another extraordinary week at Sound Garden.

(On a final note, the closing track (Florian Gasperini - Back Home) is dedicated to our friend John Rider who passed away at the burn, at camp, Weds morning. His happy place. He would not have wanted it any other way)

Colombian musician, bassist, and producer Jota García unveils his newest musical venture: Jay Mutt, a project born from his recent reconnection with electronic and dance music in the vibrant Miami scene.
His debut single “So Love,” is a deep, soulful cut produced by Jota himself, featuring vocals from the renowned singer Dragonfly, best known for her collaborations with global dance music legend Bob Sinclar. The EP includes two remixes by Leo del Toro, a renowned Colombian producer based in Miami, and Julian Rhodes, a Colombian producer signed with Redlight Music Berlin.
With a career that began in 1989, Jota García has left a significant mark on Colombian and Latin American music. He has worked in the studio and on stage with major artists including Shakira, Andrés Cepeda, Mario Duarte, José Gaviria, Jimena Ángel, La Ramona, among others.
Jota Garcia has been a founding member of some of Colombia’s most influential bands, including Sonorama (signed to EMI Music) and the electro-rock group Tequendama, whose 2022 album Gigantes was widely acclaimed. Most notably, his group Ciegossordomudos is currently releasing new music through Gaira Música Local, the label helmed by Latin music icon Carlos Vives. 
Jay Mutt is not just a project—it's a reinvention on the dancefloor.
