My first attempt at playing fiddle/upright bass on a record. Also my most melodramatic song ever. This is for the real emo folk heads. Yeah I know it sounds like Fahey. That was the era I was in!

Solo bass, single track, improvisation, played on my 28.6" scale 5 string Ibanez GSRM25 Mikro Bass, tuned to A standard tuning (as in the 4 uppers strings of a 6 string bass in regular B standard tuning, plus a high F), recorded through my "amp-less" setup directly into my Zoom H4n handheld recorder, and only edited through a simple Wav editor.

In the rain-laden air of June,
the three presences touch for a moment,
and the sounds layered across years rise with a quiet shimmer.

The resonance of wood, the tremor of strings, the drift of air,
the subtle grain of overtones and object-sounds—
each keeps its own breath, yet together they form a single current
that gently carries the differing names and moods of rain.

The album will be released in late November 2025 on omnimemento.
