I wanted something that started chaotic and then through the process of repeated "cleansings" ended up with something more "pure".

The equipment used was a Bora (a small six oscillator dronesynth made by a local company called Decadebridge), an OP-1 (just acting as a USB interface), and VCV Rack running on my Mac. In VCV Rack, the signal from the Bora was put through a filter and a delay, the cut off and delay times of which were modulated by a slow LFO. The final sound was put through Vahalla DSP's Übermod and Room plugins for a bit of stereo width and reverb, with some final EQ and compression in U-he Presswerk.

When recording I just left the LFO to affect the filter and delay, then on the Bora slowly removed the oscillator cross-modulations and then five of the six oscillators until only one was left.

I have expanded my setup again. A small SQ-1 from Korg now ensures that I can easily create great arpeggios in Ableton and send them to the engines in the Solar 42F via the integrated CV converter - and with two voices.

This is the first jam with the new device. Although this track is very well prepared and the chords are finely tuned, I find it easier and easier to make spontaneous jams with the instrument that are not perfectly pitched. 

In addition to the Solar, the Soma Cosmos also plays a part here, albeit in a rather small role. I actually wanted to use it more and develop a more prominent backdrop with it. Next time.

Practicing with the Solar 42F internal sequencers. As much as I like to write the melodies with Ableton Live and send them via the Korg SQ-1 to the Solar, I want to make better use of the internal features because it's better for travelling and I also want to get better with performing on one machine.

For this jam, I devided the touch sensitive keyboard in two controllers, each of them is playing different melodies on the two VCO voices using the sequencer features. 

I also used the Soma Cosmos to create a texture sound layered under the arrangement and the Endorphin.es Golden Master Pedal lets the BigSky Cloud Reverb sparkle so nicely <3
