"On your plate" pousse plus loin la veine fictionnelle et critique d’Échap. Sur un motif de basse dégoulinant, presque nauséeux, des IA prennent la parole. Incrédules, elles observent les humains engloutir des animaux morts : "Again, Again, Again…" Voix éthérées, traitement glacé : la distance créée par ces machines hyper conscientes permet de poser une question simple mais redoutable — qu’y a-t-il vraiment dans nos assiettes ?

This track started with a weird little piece of history: back in 1961, an IBM 7094 became the first computer to sing, and the song was “Daisy Bell.” You've probably heard HAL 9000 hum it in 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Daisy.exe is my take on that moment. It’s eerie, a little sad, and kind of beautiful in a broken way. I wanted it to feel like a memory glitching out.... something once sweet and innocent now twisted by time, static, and code.

Nostalgiacide was born somewhere between a CRT flicker and a system error.

Not in a hospital — in a busted living room TV playing reruns at 2 a.m., the sound warped, the colors bleeding. Some say the project started as a corrupted mp3 buried deep in a LimeWire folder called “misc shit 2007.” Others think it was the result of a cursed firmware update on a Speak & Spell. Either way, it came out glitching, humming, and fully aware that nostalgia isn’t always comforting — sometimes it lies.

The name says it all. Nostalgiacide isn’t about celebrating the past — it’s about dismantling it, reprogramming it, and seeing what’s left after the filters burn off. It’s music built from memory fragments, VHS static, half-remembered theme songs, dial-up screeches, and the weird feeling you get when something almost feels familiar but doesn’t quite fit.

The sound lives in the space between genres: part glitchcore, part trap, part vapor-damaged synthwave, with a little cyberpunk soul and a lot of late-night energy. It’s weird. It’s moody. It’s chaotic in the way your thoughts get when you're half-asleep scrolling through old Tumblr posts and broken SoundCloud links.

Nostalgiacide isn’t trying to blow up. It’s not trying to be nostalgic for nostalgia’s sake. It’s about what happens when you dig into the stuff you used to love, realize it never loved you back, and turn that into something that still hits.

No gimmicks. No brand deals. Just distorted memories turned into sound.

This is what it sounds like when the past starts to rot — and someone makes a beat out of it.
