Slower is an instrument library featuring high-end sample content, recorded to four distinct tape machines. The recordings are then played back at half-speed so all sounds are pitched down by one octave. Familiar instruments become magical, warm, and tangible.

SLOWER WALTZ

I'm Rainer Gerhard Irslinger. I have been involved in music and composing for a pretty long time. I received my musical training on the piano, pipe organ and composition from several teachers and a music college in Germany, where I was born and raised. Now I live in Norway.
My early musical education and my music studies were strictly classical. Since I was also interested in other styles such as pop, jazz, rock, etc. in my youth, this of course also had an influence on my compositional style. From that point of view, my music is a mixture of many styles. This will hopefully make it a little more interesting.
