This is my most self-reflective song to date. I've always had these delusions of grandeur growing up. Ever since I was a kid.
First, it was the idea that I was the chosen kid of the family to lift my mum and dad out of "poverty" and debt. Through my hard work at school I'd become a doctor or something else amazing that would allow me to retire them and give them the life they always wanted. I felt like I had all the pressure on me to do that, and that I COULD do that.
Then it was with sport. Having fantasies of being a professional soccer player, playing with my idols and inspiring future kids the same way my idols had.
And then it was with music. Hoping that I'd go viral or my music would somehow be a smash hit.
I don't think I'm alone in having these fantasies and dreams of making it big. I'm sure we've all found ourselves at one point wondering what if? And we go down that rabbit hole of luck and coincidence and main character energy that leads us to this pinnacle of the life that we wish we had.
When I was writing this song I realised that I had said a lot in my music - in many of the unrealsed tracks and on some of the released ones too. And that the truth is, I haven't become famous, or a doctor or an athlete. And so I was attempting to reconcile those larger-than-life aspirations with the life I do have. This song was me attempting to come to terms with the fact that we aren't all special. And that's okay. But I had to reflect on all the false promises I had made to my younger self and to the people around me to do that. And that is this song. Enjoy!

I create atmospheric soundtracks for indie games, blending rock, electronic, and ambient styles.

I have been involved in music as a hobby for many years. I composed, performed, and recorded music with various bands as a bass guitarist. I also worked on my own musical projects.
