I finally found time to upload it. (Busy DJíng. ;-))

It was a special event as it had a theme: Celebrate Live. Ecstatic Dance Hilversum raised money for Movember. It is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of Men's Health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men's suicide. All income during this night went to Movember. 
For this occasion there were two DJ who both performed one hour. DJ Free Willy opened and I did my set after him. And we had a lot of beautiful and funny moments together as we celebrated life.

Layers of drums, voices, and textures carry you through jungle paths, cosmic swirls, and bursts of joy, then soften into stillness.

It’s not about being seen—it’s about feeling. About finding your rhythm, letting the bass remind you that you belong, and leaving with that subtle hum of interbeing. Best shared barefoot, hearts open, in a space where music is medicine and movement is the language.

Mit Jacke die Arme zu schwer, ohne zu kalt. Gefühlt nicht richtig reingekommen.
Das Knarren der Plastiktüten über den Lautsprechern, unbefriedigend - auch wenn nur ich es höre, und wahrscheinlich sonst keiner. Die leichte Latenz der Monitore...
Ich mache das Beste draus!

Am nächsten Tag höre ich viel positives Feedback.
Menschen kommen zu mir und bedanken sich für die schöne Musik.
Die Aufnahme hört sich besser an als live.
Doch nicht so schlecht,
wie gedacht.

I play across downtempo, house, techno, and hardgroove —always in service of the dancefloor. I mix for connection, movement, and those moments when you lose yourself in the dance. Rooted in a lifelong love for sound, I grew up singing, composing, and dancing before picking up DJing in 2022 with a year-long Pioneer-certified in-person masterclass. I love daytime, sober dance spaces from Vienna to Koh Phangan. Music is the only drug.

I found ecstatic dance back around July 2023, at a time approaching huge loss and transition in my life, when my marriage of 6 years was about to come to a painful and difficult end. 

My first experience of ecstatic dance blew my mind; who knew that just through dance alone you could access such a powerful state of bliss and catharsis!? From that point on I was hooked. 

Ecstatic dance has personally given me such a consistently powerful means to process life. When it all just gets too overwhelming, confusing and worrying in my head, I always come back to dance to get me back into my body. This always reminds me that everything is actually ok, all that's needed is to feel deeply connected to myself and to the present moment, something dance is so good at doing.

I've been dancing most every single week since then, and trained as an ecstatic dance DJ under Temple Step, a renowned international ecstatic dance DJ, in March 2025.

Now, it's slowly become a passion of mine to create these same amazing embodied dance journeys that I have been so lucky to find and enjoy to regularly. 

Shoutout to my home base dance Ecstatic Dance Melbourne and to Ben and Madhu, the brilliant hearts behind cultivating the OG ecstatic dance Australia-wide!

Thomas discovered his love for music at the age of six – starting with the piano. For nine years, he devoted himself passionately to classical music before being captivated by jazz and eventually by the pulsating beats of the club scene. The CDJs became his new instrument.

As “Chronicall,” he is now known for his unique signature style:

Since 2020 I'm again actively playing music as a Dj, mainly for Ecstatic Dance. Already in my early youth I had my first attempts behind the turntables. Between 2008-2015 I recorded and released various mixsets under the synonym 'beatcook / beatCuisine'.

Playing the handpan has been enriching my musical repertoire for more than three years and over time binaural beats, nature sounds and mantras have become part of my music.

I especially love Downtempo, Progressive Techno, Ecstatic / Trance Dance and Ambient Sound Journeys. Feel, sense and experience my music and 'Cacao Sound' up close. I love to create a beautiful and breathtaking atmosphere for my performances.
