This is the Soundjourney we have created for the first Ecstatic Dance Ritual that we've hosted in January 2025 in Cologne. The Set starts off super soft and smooth, increasing energy by going into Organic House, Tribal & Afro House. The energy rises up through first deeper & earthy bass-focused tracks until fiery Psytrance, that invites you to freak out completely!! The speed remains high but the energy decreases track by track, getting more dreamy & changes in rhythm towards break beats. The sets closes with downtempo and later soft emotional vocals that are intended for savasana.

This recording captures the ecstatic dance set I created for Energy in Motion on the 18th of Jan, at Centre of You, Prahran. 
The theme for the event was Light. We explored the polarity of light and darkness, embracing the beauty in contrast. Even in our darkest moments, there is light to guide us, leading us toward joy, peace, and transformation.
Thank you to everyone who joined me on this journey, it was an honour to share this experience with you.

Was für eine erfüllte Veranstaltung, Tanz der Sinne in Ulm von Ananda ist mehr als nur ein ecstatic dance. Nach Hang drum Opening, einer Cacaozeremonie und Mantren ging die dynamische Tanzreise los, danach noch einige Lieder mit Gitarrenbegleitung zum Ausklang.

Julie Jones is a rising Italian-Eritrean artist. Her music is a mixture of percussion and deep beats fused together with ethnic and ancestral sounds and scapes.
Her dedication to music makes her always be on the lookout for the perfect track to play during a set, always aiming to be sending out beautiful, unique energy and a fulfilling state of mind to the dancefloor. 
Over the years she has defined and evolved into a peculiar sound, echoing her Eritrean roots with honour while drawing up rich, groovy bass lines and powerful tribal loops. 
Julie's ultimate aspiration is to transport her audience on a mystical journey to her homeland, Africa, inviting them to experience the essence of her cultural roots through the immersive power of her music.

Tom Nikso is a DJ, composer, and dancer who draws his inspiration from world music, creating rich and colorful sets. 

Influenced by the collective trance of bal folk and Ecstatic Dance, as well as the fluidity of Contemporary Dance, he weaves a wide variety of soundscapes. 

His music invites you on a journey into the heart of world traditions, reimagined with a modern and captivating touch. 

He also has a deep appreciation for soulful and profound melodies from the Western world, which he seamlessly blends into his sound, adding even more depth to his musical explorations.

My passion is connecting souls through sound, and my sets are designed to create a space where you can dive into your own soul while feeling the vibrant energy of loving community.
