Viajamos hasta Ecuador a conversar con Janeth Toledo y Maríaluz Albujas Bayas sobre la editorial y colectivo Bichito y su colección Mantis de poesía escrita por mujeres. Esta colección de poesía fue propuesta por la escritora Marialuz Albuja Bayas, como resultado del Premio Nacional IFCI (Instituto de Fomento a la Creatividad e Innovación) para colecciones de poesía. Ellas dicen que en "Deriva" se recoge literatura por escritoras que viven en un vacío generacional y quedan entre una generación y otra sin lograr una difusión mayor, "es como estar a la deriva". Cuando Marisol Vera fundó en 1984 la editorial Cuarto Propio, la escena literaria era muy diferente a lo que vemos hoy en día. En ese tiempo publicar un libro, especialmente un libro por una escritora, difundirlo y hacerlo visible era un reto enorme. El trabajo de editoras como ella es el que pavimentó un camino que ahora nos parece fácil de transitar por eso es importante saber de esa trayectoria. Economista de profesión, decide fundar la editorial en Santiago de Chile como una resistencia feminista en contra de la dictadura. Cuenta en su catálogo a escritores como Pedro Lemebel, Diamela Eltit y Nelly Richards. La editorial fue parte del primer Congreso Internacional de Literatura Femenina Latinoamericana de 1987 y publican el libro de congreso. Hoy es una de las más importantes plataformas que promueve la bibliodiversidad. Es un honor enorme tenerla en este proyecto y reconocer lo mucho que ha hecho por la literatura. La poeta Carmen Berenguer es su gran aliada a quien tiene publicada en la editorial. Marisol Vera trabaja arduamente para restablecer el espacio cultural de Chile con el mundo, que se había cancelado por años por la dictadura. Ella es la que idea el proyecto "Democraticemos la lectura" que vendían libros muy económicos en todos los quioscos y que revolucionó la literatura en Chile. Su historia es la de un esfuerzo para abrir un diálogo a nivel continental.

Northern Sky is a Detroit/London-based collaborative formed in 2021, crafting ethereal music that blends dreamy soundscapes with cinematic depth.
