Daniel Craig’s now-iconic movie detective Benoit Blanc is back in the latest mystery bonbon from writer-director Rian Johnson, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.  This one, as you may have deduced from the title, is the sequel to 2019’s equally fun deconstruction of classic whodunits, Knives Out.  Again stacked with an impeccable cast, Johnson’s latest is another razor-sharp, eat-the-rich satire cocooned inside an affectionate homage to the likes of Agatha Christie.  Or the board game Clue.  Or perhaps The Beatles?  There’s a LOT going on here, and we get to it in our very SPOILERIFIC review.  As Benoit Blanc says so concisely in the movie, It’s just dumb!

Written and directed by Rian Johnson, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery is the mystery film starring Daniel Craig. It is the sequel to Knives Out (2019), with Craig reprising his role as master detective Benoit Blanc.
 
This fresh adventure finds the intrepid detective Benoit Blanc at a lavish private estate on a Greek island, but how and why he comes to be there is only the first of many puzzles. Blanc soon meets a distinctly disparate group of friends gathering at the invitation of billionaire Miles Bron (Edward Norton) for their yearly reunion. As in all the best murder mysteries, each character harbors their own secrets, lies and motivations. When someone turns up dead, everyone is a suspect.
