My friend Carole Danek was asking for sad songs on Facebook. So I said I would make her one, and this is it. I was inspired by Roads by Portishead, and so I ran with the conceit of their title, and did as they did and centre a Fender Rhodes piano sound in the song and pun on it in the title. I hope she likes it. It's an improvisation. I used Arturia's Stage 73 Rhodes piano, put it into a massive chorus effect from TAL, and then into an autopan effect set to irregular spasms. This then gets thrown into a Spaceship Delay and Valhalla Supermassive reverb cranked nicely.

Fortune

Fortune - Chill Electric Piano Beat

I wrote this a solid two months ago and have been listening to it on repeat since. I had plans on some tracks that share similar style to this and Tamagotchi Jazz, but, due to some reasons, it won't happen the way I intended it (although I may still someday release them somewhere aside of SC, but that's unlikely...)
That's a subject for another day, so, enjoy this for now! I hope that you all love it as much as I do. It's one of my favorite works of all time, period. The bass especially, if you have a 5-string, try playing it too, it's pretty fun!

In this song I really wanted to explore how my mind can revert back to my old way of thinking, before I was saved by Jesus. I still struggle with feeling inadequate or worthy of redemption, even though I'm sanctified and forgiven by Jesus. He reminds me that his ways are far better than mine and he shows me how to live to glorify Him. He reminds me in the midst of my struggles that he is present with me and that I am worthy and redeemed through him.

Dreamland

THE DANCE OF THE ELEPHANTS IN PANTS * is a two-part piece. At the beginning, on a heavy rhythm, the elephants in pants dance triggering laughter and applause. In the second part, on a more serene rhythm, the elephants sway until they leave.

*Imagine elephants played by costumed actors, which is much more fun.
