It all started in the early 90’s when my friends and I would go to the underground night clubs in and around Orlando, Florida. For years I listened the music not knowing much about it except that it expanded my mind, my body, and my soul. I loved it, and after a few years of being in the scene I had a friend who started DJing. I would watch him play these dope ass records at the after parties we would got to and come to find out those records were Breakbeats. It was over for me at that point.

Growing up in the 80’s & 90’s listening to Miami Bass I loved the breakbeat sound. DJing was cool and I was interested in learning how to play. In 1997 I asked my friend to start showing me how to mix two records together to keep the music flowing non-stop. I wasn’t very good to say the least at first but it didn’t take me long to get the hang of it once I bought my first set of Technique 1200’s. I’d get home from work everyday and play records until I had to go to sleep. I was hooked and in no time I was being asked to play at the parties or after parties around town as well. That’s when I came up with the name DJ Tripnotic.

Four years later in 2001 with the help of my Father I opened up my own record shop called Tripnotic Records & Sound’s in South Orlando. I made a lot of good friends and met a bunch of cool people during the four years the shop was open. I even got into producing my own music and released my first track “Electro” in 2004. However, in those four years there were some struggles Sadly, in 2005 I decided to close it down.

So here we are and life has gone on, but I have never stop doing what I love… playing records and making music!
