“Hippalectryon”, originally commissioned by Ryan Johnson, is an exploration named for the mythological hybrid creature of the same name which is half horse half chicken. It looks at the beauty found in the disjunct and malformed, and the interactions of disparate and eclectic elements within everyday life. Each movement features a widely different array of extended techniques, form structures, and electronic augmentations from those around it creating a chaotic and wild journey of musical expression.

Tactile Ruin

Shora Karimi is a film composer who has experienced various genres of music (pop, classical, experimental, folkloric, traditional, opera and film) in 20 years of professional activity in music and has collaborated with many artists Opera of Love (directed by Master Behrouz Gharibpour) went on stage in 2018 with his music and composed the music of numerous cinematic works by acclaimed filmmakers In addition to this, he is active in making music for short films, animations and TV series In 2021, he received two awards from the Global Music Awards Festival by reconstructing the acapella of the famous work (Z Man Negaram) and has produced successful works in the field of pop and folkloric music. Shora Karimi has been praised at several international film festivals, including the Zurich Film Festival in Switzerland and the Fajr Film Festival in Tehran.

Evan O’Dell (he/they, b. 2001), is a composer, noise artist, brass multi-instrumentalist, and educator from Atlanta, Georgia. Their music can be best characterized by its evocative imagery and eclecticism which uses journeys in process, color, and rhythm to explore aspects of pop-culture, nature, LGBTQ+ identity, and the human imagination. 

O’Dell’s pieces have been featured in performances across the United States and Europe including notable collaborations with pianist Vicky Chow as a part of the Nief-Norf Collective and the Contemporary Art Music Project (CAMP) as well as presentations at the 2025 International Tuba-Euphonium Conference.

They are currently pursuing a Master’s in Composition/Theory at Penn State University and additionally hold a BA in Composition from the Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University having studied with James Ogburn, Alex Avila, Juan Trigos, and Baljinder Sekhon. In addition to music they enjoy nature trails, reading, and cats.

"at her open door" is an electronic music producer and singer-songwriter from Japan. We began studio session in June 2009. And August, we started performing seriously at live music clubs around Shimokitazawa and Shibuya. Our sound is called "Acid dubstep". It's like the digital beat inspired by James Blake, Primal scream, portishead, justice, Detroit house, Dubstep and psychedelic music.
