I began writing 'State of Mind' in Hawaii in April 2023, and completed the song in December 2024 in South Korea. The collaboration with Flambeau, a fellow Uni student, marked a significant turning point in the song's development and we created a piece that we both adore and believe has potential. We have uploaded to Distrokid, shared the Pre-Save link and plan to submit to playlists, music blogs. The song explores the pursuit of an elusive "ideal" dictated by society and encourages self-discovery.

Elysia Brontë, born in England and raised in New Zealand, is a singer-songwriter and undergraduate student of Law and Political Science at Minerva University. Her academic journey has taken her to five countries in the past two years, providing her with rich inspiration for her music.

Starting to write lyrics at the age of seven, Elysia developed her talents while performing locally in Aotearoa and expanded her skills during an internship at Yale University.

Her upbringing—traveling in a van, attending 11 schools, competing as a swimmer for New Zealand, and overcoming mental health challenges—has deeply influenced her artistic vision. Through her relatable lyrics, Elysia aims to make a meaningful impact and share her experiences with the world.
