This piece, "My Dark Passenger," is dark but there are some lighter, almost playful, elements that come out and tickle our brains. We know it's evil and wrong, but the Passenger dances with glee as we squirm in our stifling unease.

There must have been some cultural reference in my youth to that effect. Super crazy awesome brass is super crazy awesome... wait for it... you'll be glad you did!

Creative Spirit Online: "Contrapunctus II for Wind Ensemble was completed in 2020 and is a transcription by the composer of his Sonata No. 4  for piano. This wind ensemble version is scored for flute, oboe, English horn, Bb clarinet, bass clarinet, bassoon, French horn, C trumpet, trombone, and tuba. It is a challenging, even virtuosic foray into colorful and continually evolving instrumental combinations, unified by a highly rhythmic texture with moments of lyricism."
