In the Year of the Snake,
I learned the esoteric act of shedding,
scale by scale, deception by deception,
releasing the debris of who I thought I was
just to survive this realm.

Each layer fell with a tremor of pleasure and grief.
Each unraveling a devotion to intuition.
Decay became the altar.
Silence became the teacher.

“In your silence, I am whole,
The prophecy consumes the soul”

Not emptiness.

Not loss.

Ritual.
Shadows.
Show me the way.

The oracle does not point outward.
She opens the ribcage
and teaches the heart how to listen to itself.
How to trust the pull beneath desire.
How to love without searching for reflection from another.

Oracle.

I fade.

Fade from the illusion.
Stay with the truth.

Now the Horse arrives,
Strength and momentum, 
breath unrestrained.
No longer coiled in waiting,
I run toward myself
