Step into the entrancing universe that is Estuary Tapes, an independent label nestled between Dinan and St-Brieuc in Brittany, France. As the name suggests, Estuary Tapes unites the calm tranquility of murky waters with agitated tides to form a hypnotic musical experience. Like a rich ecosystem, an array of music genres embrace one another with ease. With Brittany’s coastlines and
countryside o ering a unique source of inspiration to the label, their up-and-coming releases transport us back to a sort of dark celtic mysticism, a colorful serenity, an unﬁnished quest. Styles such as ambient, experimental, breakbeat, folk, dub and techno music piece together to form a broad mosaic, the hallmark of Estuary Tapes. Each composition takes us on a journey to unexplored lands where the past and present meet harmoniously. Visuals and art are also essential. Always looking to create a captivating aesthetic, the images marry the sound to create a totally immersive experience. He kept on having these strange dreams. They came to him in the middle of the night and left him worried and wondering what might be out there in the far flung reaches of his imagination.

What was reality anyway, the world was a mess.

These visions were hinting at some far off time and place in which everything was perfect and free. Yet how could that be when the world spun with such malice and mischief.

Perhaps they were just dreams after all.

Michal Turtle is one of a handful of artists having been invited to reimagine the music of nICo on Estuary Tapes. A kraut track with rugged soul.

Milan-based electronic music producer nICo unveiled his debut solo EP, "Unexplored Earths" on label Estuary Tapes in May 2024. After several weeks of work, the label is proud to unveil the remixed edition, featuring contributions from several prominent names in the electronic scene : MR TC, Michal Turtle, Steve Pepe, A-Tweed and Oltrefuturo.
These new versions of nICo's tracks bring another dimension to the EP with a much more dub-oriented approach. MR TC and Michal Turtle's remixes sound like an ode to introspection, while A-Tweed, Oltrefuturo, and Steve Pepe deliver two gems crafted for the dancefloor.
