The Godfather Sessions (Ethereal Edition)

The digital screen showed seventeen missed calls.
Most were from unknown numbers.
For the first time in his life… the urgency to return them all within fifteen minutes was gone.

Confirm? Yes.
The next second, the screen went dark.
He had unplugged from the system.

Sitting on a bench in a park, listening to the sound of falling leaves, breathing with the wind —
it felt real.
It had always been there, but he never noticed.

Didn’t want to.
Didn’t need to?

Who said the way he lived was right,
if all it gave him was anxiety… or emptiness, at best?

Groundhog Day.
Only this time, he was the main character.

Was this the beginning of change?
Maybe.
No — that’s exactly how it felt.
He didn’t know what it was, but something unseen was guiding him…
…toward the district he had consciously avoided for years.

The silhouette of a man fades into the horizon,
city noise trailing behind him,
a switched-off smartphone left on the bench.
A single pink Sakura leaf lands on its screen.

Nature won. Again.

In the Shadow of Blossom

– So, you’re telling me I could just step in and vanish? Run through it?
– Yes. These mirrors are portals. They can open the whole universe to you. All you need to do is close your eyes, make a wish, and run through as fast as you can.
– What if it breaks? What if I get cut into a hundred pieces? I don’t want to be hurt.
– Aren’t you already hurting… from not knowing? From wondering what might happen if you ignore the urge? Will you forgive yourself for missing the one chance that might be real?
– Hmm. When you put it that way…

The little girl took two steps back, closed her eyes, and took a long, deep breath.

A wish was made.

In a blink, she launched herself toward the mirror which shimmered and trembled, as if welcoming her into a dream.

Her body passed through the surface like a swimmer breaking into a still, vertical ocean.

And just as quickly, the mirror reverted.

Now it was just… a mirror.

– These newcomers… the little boy whispered. They always need to be taught everything.

“Through Light We Go” is a story without words — a journey of silent struggle and quiet triumph.

In life, many of our battles aren’t visible. They live inside of us — in our doubts, our grief, our hidden dreams. This piece is a reflection of those silent fights… and the moment we choose to keep going.

Like a ship returning home after the storm, damaged but not broken, we emerge through light — carried by nothing but our will to keep moving.

If you’re listening to this and feel something — even just a flicker of peace — then maybe it means you made it through something too.

…their voices drifted into another room. Just noise now. Garbled frustration.

The lighter flared in the dark.

A moment of flame.
The scent of smoke drifting up toward the indifferent stars.

They scream every night like they know exactly who they are.

Do I?

What does it even mean to know who I am?
A name? A job? A playlist of achievements?

Can anyone tell me who I really am?

…another exhale. More smoke. More silence.

The neighbors are quiet again.
They’ll be back tomorrow.

Maybe they’re the ones being honest.
Or maybe it’s me, alone, asking questions out loud without making a sound.
