Ryir Norris, is an entrepreneur, advocate, and artist. He's the founder of “Black N’ Ivory”, an event planning business to express his creativity and love for helping others to celebrate the joys in their life. He also is the founder of  a non-profit dedicated to highlighting the intersection of mental health, wellness, and the arts especially in the queer community here in Philadelphia. He joins the Project 35 segment to discuss his motives behind creating both of his organizations, and to also talk about an upcoming event that Ethereality is having: "Mental Health Meets the Arts"!

Greetings to everyone. 

I'm humbled to share with you a recording of one of my most recent public appearances - it's the opening set I played at “Meet Me At The Other Side for Progressive Picnic” - official pre-party gathering for “Once Upon A Beat 02” with special headliners Makebo (Rubicunda, All Day I Dream, Anjunadeep) and Kasper Koman (Lost Miracle, Lost & Found, Mango Alley). Both events took place on  May 17, 2025 consecutively at one of the best places in town - The Other Side, Amsterdam, NL. 

Tempo: 114 -> 120 bpm!

TCHARODEÏ - Opening set for Meet Me At The Other Side _ OUAB02 (17.05.2025, Amsterdam, NL)

Numbred started exploring electronic music in the early 2000s. A pivotal moment in his career was being selected as one of the lucky few in a DJ competition organized by Free IA (Interactive Forum), which allowed him to perform within the legendary walls of Home. This experience laid the foundation for the coming years, enabling him to perform at numerous venues across Hungary.
In the 2010s, he became a regular part of the Hello Sundays show on Justmusic.Fm, and after the station closed, he continued with weekly guest appearances on Prime.Fm.
Over the years, his musical style evolved significantly. Initially, he was drawn to Progressive House, but the sound and influence of the All Day I Dream label, launched by Lee Burridge, made a profound impact on him. Today, he represents the world of Melodic and Organic House, while occasionally revisiting Progressive House in his sets.
Throughout his career, he has performed at iconic events and venues, including the Sziget Festival, and regularly plays at some of Budapest’s most popular spots, such as 360 Bar, Esetleg Bisztró, Akvárium Terasz, and Pavilon Bar. He is also a resident DJ for the S/ALON Budapest and Konyha exhibitions.
For the past three years, he has been part of the Balatonica Radio team, where his own show, When The Night Falls, airs on Saturday evenings, captivating listeners with its unique atmosphere.

Heavily influenced since childhood by legendary electronic music bands such as The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers, Lamb, Massive Attack, Underworld, Aphex Twin, Orbital, Hybrid, Way Out West, Global Communication and then pioneers such as Sasha, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Anthony Pappa, Danny Tenaglia, Satoshi Tomiie, Frankie Knuckles, Kerri Chandler, Larry Heard a.k.a. Mr. Fingers, Josh Wink, Kevin Saunderson to name but a few... I felt true attraction, discovered and ultimately fell completely in love with the DJ-craft or as I like to call it "the art of musical storytelling". It's been almost 25 years since this love runs through my veins and keeps growing as it's been fuelled by the incomparable feeling of sharing those inner experiences with like-minded people and fellow music lovers.

About my work – attention to detail in order to attain perfection in my studio mixes and live sets. I'm always looking for innovation and diversity. Trying to make a difference and leave my mark by always presenting something new, perceived as "outside the box", something that doesn't necessarily appeals to the masses but for those who share a deeper understanding and appreciation for the music in its richness. That is why my sets combine multiple flavors of carefully chosen underground electronic sound. Perfectionism concerning mix and music selection has always been a must and it can be easily sensed in my work, particularly when it comes to my studio projects. In other words, by following the latest currants of the vast field of my beloved electronic music while also by always recalling past moments of its long history that lead me to what I am presently, my focus goes to extracting the best material and putting it into a memorable musical trip that comes from the heart and shouldn't let you stay indifferent...
