We had a blast performing our HardKorrigans liveset during the OPAL festival of 2024. The crowd gave us so much energy and we had a lot of fun playing it :)

So.. What or who are the korrigans ?  
(the plural of Korrigan in breton language is actually 'korriganed')

If you search for these mythical creatures in Brittany's folklore, you can read or hear stories like these :  

“At nightfall the Korrigans emerge from their underground kingdom and launch into frenetic dances around a fire, wild sarabands and joyful debauchery, all accompanied by songs until the early morning. 

It's their dances that leave the so-called witch's rings, circles formed of mushrooms which grow 20 to 40 centimeters per year.  

If a man disturbs them during these ceremonies, the Korrigans offer him a challenge which, if successful, allows him to make a wish and join the party. But if he fails, the man is taken to an underground prison with no hope of deliverance."

Here are some of my favourite tracks lately, reminding me that eastern flowy and  restless movements  of the body can't be trespassed but only feel more intense if you absorb them in a safe place. Tried to combine my interest for the traditions of my origins, Epirus, may be cringey but worthlistening !!

A tribal progressive deep house track. (Thanks to Vitaliy Teteriatnik) for the original mouth harp recording!  Was  layered with deep analog textures, hypnotic grooves, and percussion structured using Fibonacci rhythm patterns. The result is an immersive, shamanic soundscape that bridges ancient organic resonance with modern electronic pulse — a sonic journey through deep steppes and ritualistic energies.

This track continues the deep dive into ancestral roots, taking a raw, traditional Eastern Slavic folk melody and launching it into the future. The authentic, haunting vocal sample forms the emotional core, relentlessly driven forward by a complex, high-velocity Amen break and a distorted bassline. It forges a powerful link between the raw, timeless emotion of the past and the aggressive, synthetic energy of modern electronic music.

The album closes with a profound stylistic and tempo shift. An ancient, solemn Eastern Slavic lullaby is placed at the heart of a deep, wobbling 140 BPM half-time dubstep rhythm. The track swaps for immense weight, using swelling sub-bass, granular textures, and echoing vocals to create a vast, meditative space. It’s a darkly soothing and immersive "zero-gravity" experience, providing the perfect hypnotic conclusion to the album's intense journey.
