Rehras Sahib (Punjabi: ਰਹਰਾਸਿ), commonly known as So dar Rehras, is the daily evening prayer of the Sikhs and is part of Nitnem.[2] It includes hymns from Guru Granth Sahib Ji and Dasam Granth Ji.

It contains hymns of So Dar, So Purakh, Chaupai Sahib, a concise version of Anand Sahib, and Mundhavani, among which Chaupai Sahib is from the Dasam Granth Ji. This Bani is a collection of hymns of five Sikh Gurus: Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Guru Amar Das Ji, Guru Ram Das Ji, Guru Arjan Dev Ji and Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

Organist, composer, and choral conductor, Alvez Barkoskie IV is a native of St. Augustine, Florida. In 2021 he completed his Doctor of Musical Arts in organ performance at the University of Oklahoma with his dissertation “An Analysis of Three Recital Pieces by William Lloyd Webber.” He also holds a MM in Organ Performance (University of Oklahoma, 2014), a MM in Composition (University of Texas – Austin, 2012), and a BM in Organ Performance and Composition (Stetson University, DeLand, Florida, 2009). He has studied organ with John Schwandt, Gerre & Judith Hancock, and Boyd Jones. He has studied composition with Marvin Lamb, Yevgeniy Sharlat, Dan Welcher, Donald Grantham, Sydney Hodkinson, and Manuel de Murga.

Barkoskie has performed on the organ in such venues as St. Mark in Venice, St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Rome, Christ Church Cathedral in Dublin, St. Columb’s Cathedral in Derry, Peterskirche in Vienna; Central Synagogue in New York City; Our Lady of Angels Cathedral in Los Angeles, St. Louis King of France in Austin, Texas, Trinity Episcopal in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Jacoby Symphony Hall in Jacksonville, Florida.


His first publication was “Ave Maria” for SATB choir, published by Santa Barbara Music Publishing in 2014. That same year he also received an E. Power Biggs fellowship to attend the Organ Historical Society Convention in Syracuse and won the hymn composition contest celebrating the 300th anniversary of Bruton Parish in Colonial Williamsburg. His composition "Pedals, Pipes and Percussion," for organ and percussion was broadcast on the Nationally Syndicated Program "Pipedreams," hosted by Michael Barone in February 2012. His compositions have been performed in the United States, Czech Republic, Austria, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Philippines, and United Kingdom.

Barkoskie is currently a full-time Organist and Director of Sacred Music at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Oklahoma City and the School Mass Choir Director at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Midwest City.

I am a singer of the Word, called Anne, from NSW, Australia.  I love to sing God's word and encourage others to sing God's word.  I sing, play and pray most morning and evenings using a special prayer book with a calendar of bible readings.  By the end of each year, by God's grace, I'll have played and sung through most of the bible.  I'm now using the Anglican Book of Common Prayer (2019) by the Anglican Church in North America.
