Walking down the street
Don’t know who I’ll meet
Flags are waving in the breeze
Wind is blowing through the trees
Walking round this city
I never felt so pretty before
At least that’s what they tell me at the liquor store
I lost my mind and I’ve found it again
Can’t say the same about all my friends
Now that I know what you want me to know
I guess I’ll spit it out and say it slow
I’ve found the prize after sorting through the lies
Up all night I’m not the only one who cries
Please don’t despise me
I’ve only just realized the 
Nature of my disguise
Summer fades away
Going home at the end of the day
The light of the street lamps marks the way
The air is getting chill
Don’t forget your pills
And the other things which keep you sane
I hope to understand
The heart that’s ironclad
