Atomes Music is thrilled to present the new compilation Fingerprints of the Ancient, compiled by Kitsune, our very active Japanese DJ and producer living in Australia.
Fingerprints of the Ancient brings together artists from all over the world, including fellow travelers who have already signed EPs or tracks with Atomes, such as Ipotocaticac, Pluriverso, Depuratus, Le Malinard, Kitsune, and Kek Heh. We're delighted to be releasing tracks for the first time from Sensient Number Six, UgA-BooGa, Circus Freq, The Force Is Here, Vox Fabri, Yoshua E.m and Paranoiac. With this compilation, Kitsune gives us a glimpse into his musical universe, and takes Atomes Music down the darkest, most experimental paths of Darkpsy that the label has never trod.

These remnants of their memories are just as relevant today and provide us with clarity and the very depth of our existence. Our growth happens through the momentary discomfort of humbling ourselves and learning from another. SOULŪS Presents - DJ Set Exclusive to Nightmares 420 Various Artists

During this part of the year, aka the Vernal Equinox, Bulgarians celebrate the national Kykep day. Kykepu are masked Bulgarian men, who perform traditional rituals intended to scare away evil spirits and, like the sun, are bringing the light into the darkness. This tradition is celebrated thoughout the whole country mostly in the village sites for thousands of years.
I had never made a track expicitly about it and since it is something new for the rest of the world I went on bringing something novel in the fast psychedelic music - a new style of cross 9/16 and 18/16 rhythm odd psy. Those indigenous rhythms and their complexity have produced the hardest folklore dances ever existing on planet earth. Truly something one has to witness and experience. With this Kykep track I truly hope I made possible to bring you outside of the contemporary status quo of trivial blueprint music!

Slide/Loom is a known Italian Psytrance producer that plays around the world such as America, SouthAfrica, Europe, India, Australia, Asia... and festivals like Universo Paralello, Boom, Modem, Ozora, Hadra (and many more). “In stories of Greek Mythology, The Oneiroi were primordial deities, children of Nyx (night), and had numerous siblings, including Hypnos (sleep), and Thanatos. (death). They were the personifications of dreams, coming from the caverns of Erebos, the land of eternal darkness beyond the rising sun, the Oneroi pass through one of two gates. The first of these, made of horn, is the source of prophetic god-sent dreams, while the other, constructed of ivory, is the source of dreams which are false and without meaning. According to some, the leader of the Oneiroi is Morpheus, a god who appears in the dreams of kings in the guise of a man bearing messages from the gods.”

The symbiotic relationship between sleep and waking states is often understated in modern society. When cultivating a connection with dream realms, we can unlock keys and messages from past, present and future. Oneiros Project plays with the concept of the blurred line between dreams and reality. Visions and experiences beyond common explanation are used to fuel creativity. Inspired by the moon, the sun and the stars, the way light shines upon the trees, the water and the earth. There is much to be in awe and reverence of.

Always passionate about music, playing piano and collecting many styles of sound, it was in his mid teens that Lyle Rhodes first discovered electronic music gatherings. After many parties and many hours on the dance floor and as a DJ, he has now dedicated himself to electronic music production.

Kitsune is Yoshi originally from Fukuoka, Japan and moved to Australia in 2010. Kitsune is Japanese word for the fox. In Japanese culture, spirits play a vital role and one of the most important is the kitsune, or fox spirit.

In 2006, Yoshi discovered the psychedelic trance scene in Japan wherein he immediately fell in love with its music and people. Especially, he got strongly connected with dark psytrance which was extremely popular in his hometown back then.

In 2017, Yoshi begun his Dj career as Kitsune mainly focusing on dark psy. In 2020, Kitsune started to produce his own music with a passion for creating deep storylines unique to each production. Kitsune delivers something fresh with an undertail of hauntingly familiar and the primary source for his inspiration is the energy he feels from nature, and shamanic activities, and so it is in nature where you will see him at his best.
