Iona was born in Glasgow, grew up in Kintillo, Perthshire and has roamed a few far flung places of the world. Her songwriting is inspired by some of those places including Scotland’s West Coast, and the Island of Iona. Her songs are Celtic tinged, her solo performances are heartfelt and enigmatic, and her musical outlook ranges from acoustic finger picked guitar, to pop-rock, to more subtle ambient electronica and experimental styles.
