The theme of this mix is change. The events of the past year have caused a lot of personal change so the theme came to me quite intuitively but deciding how to explore the theme took some time. The mix explores the theme by focussing on two intertwined timelines which represent individual change through the life of the resistance leader Zakaria Zubeidi and collective change through the life of the Jenin refugee camp. Each track in the mix is from a year which corresponds to a year from the timeline, mapping key events from the lives of Zakaria Zubeidi and Jenin. Bint Mbareh was instrumental in helping form this idea.

موضوع هذا الميكس هو التغيير. عندما تواصل معي فريق ستريو وأخبروني أنهم يبحثون عن ميكس ذو فكرة واضحة، جاءتني الفكرة الأساسية بسرعة.
التغيير كان حاضرًا بقوة في حياتي هذا العام، خاصة بعد أحداث غزة في أكتوبر 2023.
لكن كيف يمكن التعبير عن هذا التغيير؟ كان هذا هو التحدي. كل شيء حولنا يتغير دائمًا، سواء على المستوى الشخصي، البيئي، أو الثقافي. الزمن ليس السبب الوحيد للتغيير، لكنه عامل أساسي فيه.
وأثناء تأملي في التغيير الذي مررت به، أدركت أن الأحداث التاريخية في فلسطين كانت جذور هذا الزلزال الذي نشهده الآن، والذي انتشرت تأثيراته في كل مكان، وأثرت في وعي الكثيرين بشكل عميق.

فكرتي الأولى كانت بناء خط زمني للأحداث المهمة في فلسطين، وربط كل سنة بمقطوعة موسيقية. كانت فكرة جيدة كبداية، لكنها لم تكن كافية أو عميقة بما يكفي.

تواصلت مع صديقتي دينا، وكعادتها ساعدتني بنقاش عميق عن المشروع. اقترحت أن أركز على جنين وزكريا الزبيدي كحالة تمزج بين التغيير الفردي والجماعي.

معركة جنين عام 2002 كانت نقطة تحول في تاريخ المخيم. دينا شجعتني على التفكير في التغييرات التي تلتها: كيف تحول المخيم إلى رمز للمقاومة، كيف تطورت شخصية زكريا الزبيدي، وكيف وصل هذا المسار إلى الهروب من سجن جلبوع عام 2021. هذا الحدث كان مليئًا بالرمزية للفلسطينيين، واستمر في تغذية المواجهات المتواصلة التي تشكلت عبر عقود من التراكمات.

كمتحدث غير عربي، لم تكن المصادر متوفرة بسهولة، لكنني تمكنت من جمع ما يكفي لبناء خط زمني واضح يدور حول هذا التغيير.

خلال بحثي في قصتي زكريا وجنين، استطعت أن أجد الطريقة المناسبة لدمج الخطين الزمنيّين، لتسليط الضوء على العلاقة بين التغيير الفردي والجماعي. أؤمن أن هذه العلاقة أساسية اليوم: التغيير الجماعي هو الطريق للتحرر، لكنه يبدأ من التغيير الفردي. يمكننا أن نقرأ كل الكتب، لكن بدون العمل الجماعي لن نحقق شيئًا.

كان التحدي هو الموازنة بين قابلية الميكس للاستماع وبين قوة القصة التي يرويها. من المستحيل أن تُظهر عمق هذه الأحداث بالكامل دون أن يطغى السرد على الموسيقى. ومع ذلك، حاولت أن أنقل المشاعر الصادقة بطريقة تحرك المستمع وتدفعه للتعمق أكثر في هذه القصة. لذلك أضفت عينات صوتية من مقابلات ووثائقيات وتقارير إخبارية بترتيب زمني لدعم السرد.

🎧 Phase 4 Lab begins — an experimental DJ series using 4-channel mixing and sonic collage techniques.

This first volume was recorded live at Oriental Force in Koenji, Tokyo. Featuring vinyl, field recordings, ambient textures, and layered loops, the mix explores the intersection of memory, rhythm, and texture.

The cover art was made using torn-paper collage by Uran92, reflecting the layered, tactile nature of the sound itself.

Nibriell is the pseudonym under which I sign my musical and literary works. I was born in Romania, a beautiful country in Eastern Europe, but I also live in the UK. For personal reasons and symbolism, the pseudonym is inspired by the names Saint Nicholas (Ni) and Archangel Gabriel (briell). 

     As for my musical activity, I do not define myself through traditional terms such as artist, musician, or composer, but rather as a music creator. This term is much more suitable for my musical activity. I have only one regret: not being born with the talent to sing or possess a musical voice. 

     However, my passions for music and literature have been cultivated with interest throughout my life. With the advent of AI in our lives, it has been very successful in producing high-quality vocalizations, which instantly encouraged me to start creating melodies. 

     Therefore, in my creative workshop, DAW software, music editing, and AI technology are the tools through which I express my vision. By using AI to generate the distinctive voice of my pieces and recreate the sounds specific to traditional or archaic instruments, I bring to life the stories I present to you. 

     My entire creation, from one end to the other, tries to tell a story, whatever it may be. From myths and legends worldwide to stories I create, they are dressed in melodies and harmonies that exceed language and culture, touching a universal chord of human emotion. With each composition, my goal is to open a window to imaginary worlds, inviting the listener to explore ancestral myths, personal narratives, or those already existing worldwide. 

     Using a mix of modern sounds and traditional elements, I aim to create a bridge between the past and the present, between the real and the fantastic, offering the listener an auditory experience and an emotional and spiritual journey.

     So, Nibriell is the pseudonym that unites all these creative sides and expresses the desire to create and the belief that art, in all its forms, is a vehicle for understanding, compassion, and connection among people, regardless of their origins or borders. This is the path I have chosen to follow, one in which every note and word contributes to creating a more extensive work of all humanity, an ode to the beauty and complexity of life.

     Although AI plays an essential and decisive role in my work, it does not define its direction or quality at all. I entirely write the texts and melodic lines, and the voice generated by it is the product of my strict vision and supervision.

He currently produces and performs under the alter ego - "DV8" and the alias - "SENMO" (aka SENSORY MODE) as well as other names (E.g. Emul8tor, Sonic Rage, FEK, Kizm).

He has a particular sound and music style which combines & incorporates various elements from Melodic Techno, Minimal Techno, Hitech Minimal, Psytechno & Progressive Psy, Acid Trance, Hard Trance & Tech Trance.

Philippine born Electronic music artist jAishO brings a global perspective to his sound. He found his rhythm in Jacksonville, FL, immersed in the '90s hip-hop and P.L.U.R. electronic dance scenes. After a chapter serving as a U.S. Army MP, he reignited his musical journey in 2024. Every track is a reflection of personal hardship and a vast tapestry of life experiences. Dive into his world with the debut track "Reciprocate" (May 5, 2025) and first album "That's That Hz" (May 30, 2025).

Jenя ( Jenia ) Gatash is a queer feminist DJ, music producer, and art director from Odessa ( Ukraine ), currently based in Marseille. Her every mix is a story of sensations where a sound collage becomes a single metaphysical space drawn up with strokes of contrasting music genres: instrumental music, jazz, opera, techno, electro, dark disco, electroclash, acid, experimental, with touches of ambient textures and surrealist lyrics. 

Jenя works as a sound producer with galleries and theatre projects, performs as a DJ. She was a curator of art and performance events at the AWAZ music festival. Jenia organized the first open queer events Q'paradise in the muslim capital of Tatarstan, currently she continues this project in France.

She experiments extensively with the representation of opera and baroque music in contemporary contexts. She defines her artistic, performative, and musical works within this framework as meta-opera / experimental opera and post-rave
