My Show Illumination Dance Show It’s all about dance music for dancers by dancers. DanceXcess and Illumination Dance have been leaders in innovation with new ideas and concepts, Over the last 21 years, since DanceXcess was formed in 2003. Illumination dance followed on 1st Feb 2014 but was formally known as Expressions from September 2010 DanceXcess and Illumination Dance run in parallel covering Modern Jive, Expressive, Modern Blues, Argentine Tango, classical, and even lyrical music. We aim to give our dancers a range of music, of a variety of genres and tempos, which teases out that more expressive dancer that is deep inside all of us. You might want to fuse your modern jive with other styles, such as WCS, Tango and Blues, letting you vary your mood throughout the afternoon. You may be looking for music that is a little more chilled, or perhaps more lyrical or expressive, giving you the backdrop to dance more ‘musically’ to what you hear.

2023 was a wonderful year for me musically thanks to all of you!  I finally published my first music book called Music Dreams: Six Original Pieces for Solo Piano through Barnes & Noble. I believe what the world needs is more songs about love for all living things and the earthly treasures around us. The power of love is magical, mysterious, and miraculous!  And, it is essential to our survival like water and the air we breathe.  I believe that through the universal language of music, love can heal, bring joy, and create an invisible chain that pulls all of us together, not apart.  I vow to write only songs about love in 2024.  Will you join me?

A Little About Me...
I compose music on the piano. My inspiration comes from my dreams and my life experiences and is strongly influenced by my years of classical training. I am starting to get to know the Soundcloud community and never thought anyone would listen.  I love every genre of music, and the talent and creativity are mindblowing! I started composing later in life after many years of teaching.  Music, for me, must capture the imagination and emotions. When I play or listen, I want to feel something that brings joy or meaning in the moment. I am very grateful to all my listeners and the gift of music in my life!

For those of you who follow me on Soundcloud, I have been experimenting with adding tracks to my piano compositions.  I create and record everthing using a Yamaha 660DGX, including the instrumental tracks built in to the keyboard, then I edit on my laptop using Sony Sound Forge Music Pro.  It's a simple set up, and I have lots to learn.  Thank you for listening and helping me in my musical journey!
