All about the Breaks and the Bass

I was a founder member of the Karmatosed Sound System that ran a legendary night called Decompression around Hertfordshire and London in the 1990’s. I played out mostly techno but also Jungle / D&B, breaks and chill out stuff. I started making beats with a best mate on a knackered Atari, cubase v1.5 and some basic hardware and we released one techno / breakbeat/ proto drum and bass 12’ as Aengen which got airplay from Carl Cox and Laurent Garnier amongst others. This was probably my 15 minutes of fame and we did a number of live sets at the time in and around London and got interest from the music press at the time. After our club night burnt to the ground, literally, I moved to Leeds and did my own thing releasing a few CD’s through local record shops in Leeds. In recent times I've rediscovered DJing, mainly in Leeds but also playing at small festivals across the country.  I have recently set up Dithering Masters Records to release my own stuff and that of local artists and producers. Check out ditheringmastersrecords.com for more info.
